Haha I feel ya. Scott Powers of the Athletic Chi pretty much exclusively does the prospect coverage for the Blackhawks, and he's gotten some good contributors to deliver analytics-driven articles. It's totally unwise financially for me to do this but I got sucked in after my free subscription ended.

 

Can't wait till we're stuck with Tootoo next season. Signing Rozsival adds substance to the rumors we might be moving Pokka though.

 

I would love to get the Athletic if they had some coverage for like some west coast teams.

A lot of it is subscription based, yeah, with a handful of articles that aren't -- but that's rare. I regret not taking up their discounted rate at Christmas when they were really making a push. Like @cubsml34, it's not a wise decision financially for me but they're making it tough.

Cleveland might open for a few months before going behind a paywall. That's what Toronto did.

I'll miss Smith. Never lived up to his potential here, but was always solid. Getting a 2nd for him is incredible though

 

I saw some tweets today linking Sharks to Ryan Miller and all I could think was that is gross.

Sharks goaltending has been the least of the worries for them. I also think Dell is a capable backup especially because he is 7-3-1 and rocking a .932 save percentage.

Blues reporter Jeremy Rutherford talked about how the Blues and Sharks were in trade talks at the 2015 draft.

The trade would have been Oshie and Shattenkirk for Hertl and 2015 first round pick. We used that first round pick to get Meier.

 

Is there any Duchene chatter today? I'm assuming Sakic is holding out for a Seth Jones type of offer.
