BUF amongst a number of teams interested in Fowler, but Sabres not believed to be keen on giving up No. 8 pick in the draft.

I don't think he's a Top 4 guy to start. But I think its about 1M AAV too much with probably a year too long as far as the term goes.

I understand that deal because they have a lot of young guys coming up in the next two years and you gotta have some veteran leadership there. I've warmed a bit to it still relatively meh for now.
