Goligoski signing is a good one for the Yotes

 

That's fair, he seems wayyyy too optimistic and it kind of creeps me out haha
I have seen that isles and bruins are interested in hall a few other places too though so I dont think its a complete blunder

 

Hall to the Bruins is a crock of shit. We have no defense and have a logjam on the left side as is, and who exactly would we give up for him? Marchand? Krug? Hard pass

Also Jimmy Murphy was the one pushing the Canes to Vegas thing, so yeah

 

It seems like Dreger floated it weeks ago and Murphy just latched on to it now. Dont think any isles fan wants to give up hamonic for him.

 

Trading Hamonic, now that he rescinded his request, would be dumb, especially on that contract.

I wonder if they could pawn that Boychuk contract off on Chiarelli because that's going to look ROUGH soon

 

Armchair-GM

CapFriendly has a pretty cool Armchair GM option

 

I think I've decided I want Bellows or McLeod at 13. I have no idea who will be available at 21 but Rubstov or Max Jones would be cool.

The guy I want to trade up for is Puljujarvi but that is highly unlikely. Best chance is if CBJ passes on him and we can work a deal for #4. Still, highly unlikely. Being able to offer two firsts is nice but 13 is a big drop and we'd have to add another nice piece which would make the move not worth it.

EDIT: I'd trade up for Logan Brown as well. If he doesn't go top 6, I think we could make a move for him.

How good is Severson @xbrokendownx? I could be undervaluing him big when you mention a RNH/Severson trade and think the oilers need more from Devils for that.

I like Severson but I am more down on him than a lot of Devils fans. He came out on fire as a rookie last season and had a hot few weeks but ever since then, he hasnt been anything all that special IMO. He is a pretty big guy and is also a right which is why I think teams are calling about him. I think he projects as a middle pairing guy who can play on the PP but I don't ever see him being a legit top pairing DMan

 

I just want to point out Dustin Brown is on this list. In what world could be be considered a legit trade bait when everyone has said his contract is untradeable?

 

also man oilers got their picking of defenseman this offseason and I hope they make a smart choice

 

Not against that. I just like Brown because he's a 6'6" center and was born in Raleigh haha

 

If the Canes are looking for an NHL centre, most scouts see Dubois as a winger, apparently, according to MacKenzie.

 

I wouldn't say we are looking for a center over a winger. Any forward help will do just fine.

If we trade up, it's for a center. I think Francis knows they come at a premium through trace route, specifically when we're looking to fill that top line spot. Trading up in the draft to get a Brown would cost considerably less than trading for a RNH/Stepsn/Duchene.

Pretty sure Philly is the only team he's even vaguely connected with. So, it's still probably worthless, but just slightly less worthless than everything else.
