Oi Canes fan, how's Lindholm been? I loved that dude in his draft year, and apparently the Leafs had a couple deals on the table to acquire him* (involving Rielly and Gardiner) and I often wonder what could've been. How's he coming along?

Edit: *for the Canes 5OA that year, rather, not Lindholm specifically

 

I missed a lot of games this past season due to moving to the west coast but I can say I am a big fan of Lindholm. People seem a little down on him because he hasn't looked great as a center which was the plan for him. But he's put up back to back 39 point seasons and he's only 21 years old. He's not as good defensively as I'd like but he's not bad there. He plays smart and positions himself well. I think he has a bright future and there's no way I'd trade him right now.

 

so the Devils are going to have ~$40 million in cap space (not counting Savard/Clowe's contracts)

 

Almost this was contending for the playoffs most of last year. With that much cap room and young potential, I'm pretty jealous.

 

Not a flashy signing/name, but I'd be extremely happy with the Rangers signing Nakladal from Calgary as a 2nd/3rd RHD-man. Should be cheap and I love his advanced stats... in limited time.

 

From that 5OA pick, it's hard not to look right below at Monahan and be a little jealous of Calgary. I'd like to give him an extended run at center, I just don't know if we can afford the growing pains.

 

The Canes, Sabres, Yotes, and Leafs are going to be very fun to watch very soon. I'd throw EDM in there but...you know, EDM.

 

Doubt he cracks the roster at any point...then again there aren't many RHD left on the roster.

 

As long as Carolina has those vile, insipid jerseys, they will never be enjoyable to watch.

I would love Seth Jones but he shoots right.

 

If the Ducks trade Fowler I'll miss him and his beautiful skating stride. Seriously, just watching him exit the zone is a thing of beauty. Also, the Ducks are never trading Lindholm so all that talk just needs to die off already.

 

Murray said left side defenseman, not just left handed. So if someone like Shattenkirk is an RHD that can play on the left side, he counts. Which is cool.
