Surprised Carter made it on over Perry. He's definitely the most apt replacement for carter.

 

I'm sure Perry's awful round against the Preds didn't help his case.

 

Carter had 2 points and was -5. It's not like either of them had a great playoffs.

 

Was Carter slotted to play center or wing for CAN?

I know it's basic logic but it's still absurd to think that a Duchene / Giroux / Thornton is a 4th line.

I also can't wait for Weber/Vlasic to dominate because of Vlasic being so good so everyone says Montreal won the trade.

 

I'm more interested in seeing Team NA because Canada looks boring as fuck. But honestly, fuck this whole tournament.

this tournament is such a weird thing. I know this was basically the NHL owners idea to get money since the ioc is awful. On the other hand you have players dropping out like crazy because these GM's don't like it like Doug Wilson.

 

I think the World Cup is dumb and unnecessary but of course I'm gonna watch it because I desperately miss hockey at this point, college football doesnt interest me as much as it used to. Also hoping that no Lightning players get injured because then I'll just curse the existence of everyone involved in the tournament.

 

just looking at the practice lines out of the big three and of course the US is the one that looks the worst.

Making my way through that Friedman article now. I think this -- about Stamkos -- sticks out to me the most:

Bruins got Peter Mueller on a PTO. We've already signed three centers this offseason, so Sweenius must be trying like hell to flip one for d-help.

 

I don't take any of these PTO seriously just because so many teams have a lot of people in the World Cup so they just need bodies for training camp.
