Toews/Stamkos should be lower, Seguin/Giroux should be higher

Maybe this is the homer in me but I'm certainly taking Bergeron over Getzlaf

 

I like it only because it means Sparks and Bibeau will remain in the AHL.

 

It's tough to argue against Bergeron being the better player right now. I think Getzlaf will have a good year in 2017, but he looked like garbage the first half of this past year. One thing to note, however, is that Getzlaf has averaged a lot more ice time per year than Bergeron has in his career, with this past year being really the only year in almost a decade where Bergeron has him there. I think it's safe to say Getzlaf has earned himself a high rating despite the down year.

Bergeron has a lot more hardware than Getzlaf does, though.

It looks like EA is continuing to make literally every player ever really good based on the ratings for these guys. In NHL 16 it felt like there were a million guys in the 82-86 range, and it was tough for rookies to break the roster unless I purposely unloaded veterans to make room for them as a result.

 

Yeah I mean Bergy isn't going to pile up the points like Getzlaf, but Bergeron could probably play in plenty of teams top 4 d-pairs. Hell, I'd welcome it personally

So taking Datsyuk's contract potentially got them Crouse and Chychrun. This will be a fun trade to track in a few years

 

Can't believe they traded crouse that quick, Florida probably wanted to get rid of bollands deal that bad I guess
