Okposo come to Anaheim!

So many question marks with the Ducks lineup right now. Even more with Thompson being out until the deadline. Assuming Carlyle keeps Getz and Perry together (or if they're even on the team ;) )

So far operating under the assumption that Andersen and Vatanen will not be back because of $. Lots of free agents with the only ones I'd for sure see returning being Rakell and Lindholm. Does McGinn, Perron, Stewart, Horcoff, Santorelli, or Pirri make a return?

I'd like to see Montour get a shot to make the team. Nice RH defenseman who tore it up in San Diego last year.

#Blackhawks ended up hitting $3,112,500 in bonuses, broken down as follows:

Panarin - $2,800,000
Rozsival - $100,000
Teräväinen - $212,500

No one was factoring in Panarin's games played bonus when thinking of the cap overage. Came in $42,000 under the cap then last year

 

Blackhawks had to give up a solid asset to frump Bickell and are still in cap hell.

How are they going to afford Shaw and still fill out a roster?

 

I was so happy to see the pre season schedule posted already.

 

Francis confirmed on a radio station yesterday he isn't done making moves. He said adding a top 6 fwd is now priority.

 

Oh that's easy. Bowman is going to give Shaw the remaining money while we have zero forwards in our bottom 6 who can score lol.

 

Don't think there's a deal to be made to bring in a #1C that makes sense. Would love to see us go all the way in on Okposo. Give our young D Corps another year and we'll have a better standing leg to move for a #1C.

 

How about first line centre Tyler Bozak?

 

I know Nashville would never do it but man they could make out bandits if they traded Weber for that.

I'm sure they could trade another current or future pick for someone rather than hella reaching and just take bpa at 4.

Benning had "a lot of calls today" on pick #5. There were "some names in the market place that I hadn't heard before". #Canucks

 

I love the new way of thinking for defense. I'm glad the Penguins have helped make a change.

How much of a hit will that be and what teams need to get to the floor still?

 

Wouldn't they get the full contract?

Canes are still below the cap floor but I don't know if we'll be interested in Pulk or Jurco because of the amount of young guys we already have.

I think NJ, CAR, or ARI make the most sense for it

 

Datsyuk's contract situation has me thinking, can teams just give other teams assets? Like could a cap floor team give nothing up for both the contract and Pulkinnen/Jurco?

 

Also, if I'm Stamkos, it's between Tampa and Detroit for me. Now that Toronto is taking Matthews, Stamkos is unnecessary. Assuming they move the Datsyuk contract, no one will bid more than Detroit.
