How does the NFL manage to make a worse product every season?

 

Just another band-aid. Guess you need bodies somewhere but they need to start finding corners that can play in the draft (and ideally, not trade them after one year RE: Eric Rowe).

I mean, he didnt believe that 3 years ago when he tried to get Miami (who had a famous debacle with the Marlins stadium) to pay for about $100mil of $400mil in stadium upgrades. For a completely private stadium (unlike the other stadiums that are public). Only after he failed that did he privately fund it. And even then, he was trying to get them to not have to pay property taxes

Sun Life Stadium is privately owned, while every other stadium and arena is a public site. That means, the Dolphins are the only team in the state who pay annual property tax, which last year was $3.8 million, and, according to reports last year, could start climbing toward $5 million a year. And, that's what Ross wants to end.

That said, Ross is like Jerry where they both have fuck you money, so it makes sense that they would be more about private funding and full control. Whereas Mark Davis very much does not

Ross is a good owner for everything football related, essentially....although he seems to have found a home run in Gase

So, those last two rule changes are actually relatively minor.

First one is related to this:

Ravens commit intentional holding to beat Bengals

and then the 2nd one is this:

Currently, if teams commit an illegal substitution penalty or lose a replay review while the clock was running and there was under one minute to play, there was a 10-second runoff. This rule change would make it a 10-second runoff where there are under two minutes to play.
