Not a good move only because we abandoned ship on him way too soon, at a time when both Mark Brunell and Tony Boselli were dealing with heavy injuries. You can make a good initial decision but not follow through and still be criticized. The problems the Jags had in 01-02 were not Coughlin's fault.

He goes on to win two Superbowls without us, and irony is a bitch, both were against the same team that ended the Jags' only two playoff runs since they fired Coughlin. Meanwhile, we go hire Jack Del Rio and do the same exact thing - another good initial hire that we didn't stick with when things got unlucky - and he goes on to appear in a Superbowl on Denver's coaching staff, not to mention building the elite defense that eventually won them the big game last year. Now he's having an even better rebuild in Oakland in terms of personnel than he had in Jacksonville.

This is why Gus Bradley's 12-36 record is water under the bridge to me and I still believe in the potential moving forward. He was dealt one of the worst hands of any rebuilding coach I've ever seen in football, for once we're sticking with him anyway, and now the Jags finally seem to be building something sustainable. 2-3 years is simply not enough time to start from scratch when your roster becomes outdated and ineffective.

Really when you think about it the Jags should've just fired GM Shack Harris and kept Coughlin this whole time

Yeah they profited off of our decision to trust an idiot GM over one of the best coaches of the modern football Era

Literally his franchise QB (Brunell), his star young RB (Taylor), and the best blocker in the league (Boselli) were all hurt long term at some point there, while one of the best WRS in the league and the best the Jags ever had (Jimmy Smith) was getting suspended and arrested for doing coke.

And they fired Tom Coughlin after 2 years of that, when he just prior took the team to four straight seasons with at least one playoff win, including two AFC championship appearances. It's sickening to think about how much better the Jags could have been if they gave him some time to recuperate the team.

Actually yeah. Hahaha they literally make 25% of their profit off that one game if im not mistaken. The irony is that one game in London is actually what made it possible to keep the franchise in Jacksonville.

What's everyone think of the Top 100?

As far as impressiveness in 2015, I'd go:
    1. JJ Watt
    2. Rob Gronkowski
    3. Cam Newton
    4. Aaron Donald
    5. Antonio Brown
    6. Aaron Rodgers
    7. Tom Brady
    8. Adrian Peterson
    9. Luke Kuechly
    10, Khalil Mack

But, according to Vic Ketchmann's philosophy, every year's top 100 should simply be comprised of the league's top 10 quarterbacks. By those premises:

    1. Aaron Rodgers
    2. Tom Brady
    3. Cam Newton
    4. Ben Roethlisberger
    5. Russell Wilson
    6. Philip RIvers
    7. Drew Brees
    8. Andrew Luck
    9. Tony Romo
    10. Carson Palmer

  13. 1. Cam Newton

    They got it right.

These lists go off last year so if you have anyone above Cam Newton you are just incorrect.
What happened in the thirty seconds it took to type this that made Newton fall below Rodgers and Brady haha?

They don't go entirely off last year, it's based on last year plus expectations for the upcoming year, hence some players injured over 75% of the season being on the list. With that said, Cam should still be #1.

Only snub I cared about was Donald not being in the top 10.

Rodgers is a better quarterback, but Newton was a better overall offensive player in 2015.

Also, as douchey as JJ Watt is, if we're going off of how good someone is relative to their peers, he'll be the best player in the league for a good while.

I love Watt but I definitely understand Cam being #1. This isn't like 2014 when I was furious over Watt not being MVP hahaha. He wasn't as much of a deciding factor like he was in 2014.

Luke is definitely in my top 3 favorite defensive players right now. He's so fun to watch and has the greatest instincts I've ever seen.

Zach Thomas will always have the best instincts I've seen. Chris Borland was special too.
