I'm pretty happy about this. Was really curious what the hell they were going to do after letting Benny walk.

 

Seems like kind of low value for what the Ravens could have gotten earlier in FA, but, I guess he is in his final year of the contract

He'll do way better as a 4-3DT than he will as a 3-4DE. Too short to be a truly effective 3-4 end

 

Isn't Jernigan pretty good?

 

He was solid for the Ravens, adn he'll be really good as a 4-3DT. Dude's strong, but certainly not fast enough to get away with edge rushing as a DE. Had he been 20lbs heavier, I would have loved him as a NT in a 3-4

 

Jernigan/Fletcher is a fun little combo....just need outside pass rush outside of Brandon Graham to become a thing.

 

Weird, I thought Twitter was cool but it was weird how so many games weren't on it

Don't know whether to put this in the season thread or the draft thread but:

I work across from The Star in Frisco and will die if I have to deal with the draft crowds as I leave work at 7.

 

But if Frisco does get the draft and anyone's interested in going, let me know. It'll probably be a lot easier to get a group going than going individually.

 

There's talk that NE may make a play for Sherman
I would love to see how that pans out if it ever happens lol

Moss, Ochocinco, Bennett, Revis, Talib. He's gotten them all to put aside their bullshit and play within their culture/system. Belichick's gotta be using some "Get Out" type shit.

But he also wasn't the distraction everybody assumed he would be.

 

Yeah, this is the real key. Guys like Bennett, Talib, Ocho...guys that have either been outspoken or had big off-the-field issues have suddenly not had them in NE.

 

And Talib is now an asshole all over again.

Yep, belichik knows how to shut athletes up because they're not allowed to have personalities. It'll help the transition for when the game is played by robots in 2050
