News on once the clouds are gone. Prestigious

I did notice last year that their interior dl would get have some really bad plays where they just looked tired and weren't moving the ol at all, that has to get fixed when your best pass rusher is 300 years old. His role will just be depth energy dl guy. Sensabaugh was good with drc and Jenkins, he should be at least decent

The Steelers defense reminds me of hockey, having a thin layer of playmakers backed up by an army of disciplined, not flashy, predictable but reliable blue collar athletes.

bunch of effort/try-hard guys who really fit in that one scheme and nothing else.

Also I'm back from tour and it was great. Almost every band and sound guy and booking agent we worked with has gone the extra mile in extending us connections. We got a ton of positive reinforcement from our performances, met great people... and have residence at several of those venues now, plus a few additional cities that we have a solid lead to play in next time around. Also The Fritz wants us to open for them when they come back to Jacksonville.

sorry sorry just really excited I'm 26 and finally my band is going somewhere

But in all seriousness glad you had a good time, if you come to Colorado we'll get a beer if you're into that sort of thing

For sure! I'll branch my way out this year and next, always wanted to see Denver/Boulder/Fort Collins

The Fritz is a psychedelic funk band that mostly only plays with amazing musicians. Huge compliment they even like us enough to extend a show to us. They are from Asheville and are prob getting more recognition in the southeast, they always sell out 1904 Music Hall down here.

Same, I looked him up and amazingly he's played his entire career in JAX up until this point, thought he bounced around a lot lol

Apparently the team noticed the tear in December after the Chargers game?

why wouldn't you get the surgery 2 months ago?

  15. Pretty sure he had some issues with the shoulder all season but that game is where they're saying this specific injury occurred.

Which makes playing him Week 17, eliminated from the playoffs, insane. And honestly as a 5-8 team, you shut him down after the Chargers game. If they had done that, they'd have known this like a month ago. He woulnt even be missing some of the mini-camp stuff

Rivera said he came back "clean" after the MRI in December but the team is saying now that he got hurt in that game. What a mess.

    Tinfoil hat moment:

This isn't necessarily what I believe but it wouldn't surprise me. Rivera/Gettleman know their roster took a steep dive and the Super Bowl window has closed rapidly due to the progress of the NFC South and other NFC teams (for example, Dallas). If they take extra losses in 2017 from Cam's injury, they can put the season on that injury and keep their jobs (similarly to what Jeff Fisher did for a while). If they start the season with Cam healthy, and it goes the same way this one did, they're fired.

I mean, they could have started Derek Anderson the rest of the year and gotten the same result. Or Joe Webb.

It wouldn't be the same result though, because then Cam would have time to be healthy for 2017 and they'd lose the "Well, Cam was injured" excuse if they don't meet expectations.

Yeah, I misread your post. I don't know if they would get fired. Richardson's been super patient with coaches and he let Marty Hurney stick around a pretty long time. I think the Super Bowl year bought Rivera/Gettleman a lot of time. Even though I think both did a miserable job last season.

I see it kinda like a John Fox Denver situation, if that makes sense. But I don't know that they'd get fired either, and don't know if Rivera necessarily should. But it's an interesting thought, even if it isn't necessarily true.

  23. I highly doubt that theory is true. If anything, Jerry would be more pissed they let Cam stay out there with a hurt shoulder than if Cam would've been pulled. One year removed from a 15-1 season and SB appearance and the team had multiple injuries across the OL and on defense. It wasn't just Cam's injuries. The talent on the roster didn't take a steep dive. The only real talent we lost was Norman. We replaced him with rookies, who played very well considering they were rookies. I don't think it's fair to say the SB window closed rapidly. The NFC South has always been unpredictable and we could definitely challenge Atlanta for the division next year.

Atlanta is a much better team across the entire board. Carolina is competing for second place and I don't think their SB window was ever opened.

I mean 2015 was wide open considering they got to the Super Bowl against a team led by a corpse
