Bears also signed John Jenkins today. Heard he's not very good, he's way bigger than Fangio has ever had at NT (360), but he's just depth, and a run stopper.

Was gonna say, that sounds like a "5" year deal where they spread out the signing bonus for cap savings. So his cap hit will be $3mil less this year, and it'll get spread over those extra 3 years.

And if he somehow becomes the starter if Wentz has a Bridgewater accident, then they got their starter pretty cheap.

so I guess that'll do it until the draft

 

He's an okay replacement for Dansby but I'd like to see them draft another linebacker since their current corps is pretty slow. It might be passable if they cut Maulaluga & give Nick Vigil some more playing time. He was pretty good towards the end of last season after Maualuga finally got benched.

Man, anyone is an upgrade over Dansby lol. I wish they would cut Mauluga, and Pacman while they're at it.

 

Yeah, I thought both would be gone by now. Could have cut those two along with Michael Johnson and given that money to Zeitler & Whitworth. They had the cap space to keep them even with those contracts but still. Ugh.
