The constant worrying that at any moment something could derail closing and it all could go down put me on the edge lol. Housing market out here is crazy right now we'd go look at a place that listed at 9am, saw it at 5pm and they already had an offer 20K over asking before we even got to the kitchen

My biggest worry was that that signing would be Darrelle Revis, since he'd fit a need and be a hometown guy. But then I saw he has offset language on what the Jets are paying him, so, there's no chance in hell thats happening. Steelers arent giving him more than $6mil to play this year.

Very telling of the NFL that Joe Mixon is gonna be drafted, and Kaepernick hasn't been connected to anyone yet.

Ya it's crazy considering the type of contracts being thrown at the likes of Glennon and Co.
He wasn't even that bad last year

Kap was great last year when taking into account what was around him last year. I mean his first- second half splits were kinda nuts, but he was still more 2014 than 2015 Kap for sure. 11 games (including the massive outlier Bears game) and passed for 16 TDS to 4 ints and added 468 yards and 2 TDs on the ground. Kap shouldn't have opted out though tbh.

Can't blame him for wanting out of SF though

Especially when he has already said his kneeling is over.

Though, I wonder how much of it is Romo/Cousins at the moment. There are teams that would probably sign him, but are holding off...whereas the QBs who have gotten signed as backups (Hoyer, Foles, etc) went to places where Kaep just wouldnt

Well, at least it gives a strong candidate for WR to be suspended...didnt have much faith in Sammie to pop a 4 gamer

Yeah. I do not want Revis.

Id have taken him for the kind of deals we gave Ike Taylor at the end; like $3-4mil/yr sometimes spread as 2yr deals with bonuses for more money. If for nothing else than the knowledge our young CBs would get by working with him.

    But for $6+mil...yeah...

I know free agency press conferences are full of hot air and being thankful for money, but this Campbell interview had a nice little script to it. I like his perspective on coming to Jax.

Calais Campbell explains Jacksonville Jaguars signing | The MMQB with Peter King

He much more so than Malik adds that knowledge and veteran leadership. Malik is still young potential - Jax is the first time hes actually had to struggle along with a subpar roster and learn how to play a new position with more attention toward him. Campbell, meanwhile has switched positions and been on both contenders and horrible rosters in Arizona. The "adjustment" part isn't as big for him.

Im stoked to see Malik and Calais do work on the same line. Both are stupid strong even compared to other guys their size.

Raiders are meeting with Jared Cook, Zach Brown, Dontari Poe.

Schefter also hinted at AP landing there.

Charles would make a lot more sense for them, AP is washed.

Charles is probably washed too though

We don't know because he got on the field for like a few plays and then had more surgery this year but it seems highly unlikely he will still have his burst

I doubt that's their plan, but would make some football sense. But they have some good backs on their roster so I can't see them adding two.

Charles could def be washed as well but he at least has about 1000 less touches than AP in his career up to this point and I think a back with more receiving ability is better for the Raiders offense in general. I don't know why they're so heavily involved in the market though, Richard and Washington were good last year and they should just roll with them and just add another back in the draft.
