I am just curious as to what their plan is to spy him. If they had Dion Jordan ready, he'd be perfect for it but that turd is on NFI so hes out a few weeks at least.

I really have no idea what to expect since we have a whole new regime. I know the old regime would have sat back and not blitzed for shit because they were God damn idiots

Its just preseason but I was surprised Britt looked so good at center from what I saw. I guess cable is a good ol coach or something

Hawks OL has been dogshit from most of Russ's early career so while I do think Cable is a good coach, they've really whiffed on some of the OL they've drafted at the top in recent years.

Connor Barth is...a kicker. I'm not looking forward to a new guy every year now.

Didn't read through the whole thread, so this might have been brought up... The Packers cap savings of ~$6.25M from Sitton's salary will roll over into next year's available spending. This is important when we still need to resign Bahk, Lang, and Tretter to shore up the line long term (plus Lacy, Perry, Cook, among others, will be UFA's).

Sitton was never going to be resigned after this season anyways. He's over 30 with back issues that he's been dealing with for 2+ years now. Ted's logic is why not cut him now and at least be able to collect the cap carry forward, rather than waiting until after this season and losing him for literally nothing.

Obviously, this effects the short term state of the OL. We'll see Lane Taylor at LG for the first six weeks, and his job will be to not get 12 killed until Linsley comes off PUP. Assuming everyone can manage to stay healthy for once, I'm completely fine with the line being Bahk-Tretter-Linsley-Lang-Bulaga.

I don't have anywhere near the level of panic others on here have expressed. We're not going 10-6 just because we let Sitton go. He's one of the league's best at his position, but when was the last time someone talked about a LG winning/losing you a title?... We still have 12 at QB. Lacy has looked fantastic all camp. WR corps should be back to normal with Jordy back in action. Cook is going to stretch the field and be the big target that we've missed since Finley had to retire. The defense will continue from last year's form of pressuring the QB and making things happen in the secondary. As Raag said two years ago, five letters for Packerland... R-E-L-A-X

I was under the impression Kline was good lol, guess not

  14. Yup, Eric Rowe will be a 10 time pro bowler, and win defensive MVP for the next 10 years.

  15. The pick is a 2018 4th, that could turn into a 3rd.

    I agree on Kline

  17. Seems like a good haul for both teams.

I guess I like it? I don't like trading Eric Rowe one year into his career but it was clear he wasn't going to play with Jim Schwartz in town so I guess I can't hate it.

  19. Would the Iggles have actually cut Rowe? I find that hard to believe.

There was a lot of talk surrounding it because of the play from Jalen Mills & C.J. Smith. They ended up cutting Smith and getting him back to the practice squad but the way numbers were looking, I don't think it would have been shocking to too many.

Dumb in my eyes but what do I know. They only have four active CBs on the roster right now so wouldn't surprise me to see Smith come back up.

so, KJ, is the sense you get that the Eagles are building for a year or two from now?

I just cant square all the different moves...some feel like a complete rebuild, others feel like win this year kind of moves

Roseman doing good work for a 12yr old kid

  23. I don't think the Iggles have had a plan of any kind for the last few years. Just a constant spin cycle.

I think Howie is trying to put the rebuild into hyper speed with these deals which isn't an awful plan but at the same time, the past few drafts would suggest that we don't have people in the building that are going to be able to draft the right way. How much of that is on Chip and how much is on Howie & Co.?

I think the ceiling for the Eagles this year was 8 wins before and after Bradford. They aren't going to the playoffs this year or probably next (depending on Carson's development) but yeah, I guess get what you can pick wise and let's see where they're at in 2018.

I haven't seen much to suggest they're going to contend this year but more so building a roster for the long term. Who knows, maybe Agholor/DGB/Matthews/Huff all respond to Wentz and turn into a good receiving corps (which on paper, they really should be).

That tends to be the case when you have a general dislike between the coach and GM with differing opinions on players all over the roster. Been a wacky three years and I think it's going to take a while to clean up the mess left behind.

I HATED the Doug Pederson hire which is well documented here but over the course of the offseason, I have begun to change my stance SLIGHTLY. I want to see what they do this year before I declare him the guy for the job.
