Apologise in advance for bringing up his name, but the Greg Hardy interview with ESPN was a car crash. Surely he's done now.

A little surprised by the Bills, but, the fact that only 4 teams put in a waiver surprises me. It's like a free draft pick for a guy that might have been a Day 2 selection if healthy

This Broncos/Kaep thing just keeps getting funnier with each new detail. Somehow the Broncos think they are gonna get Kaep for less overall and guaranteed money than Chase Daniel got. Despite, you know, Chase never really having been a starter. And for less than Kaep already has guaranteed this year, which is guaranteed even if he gets cut by the 49ers...so the idea he'd take a pay cut is insane

I mean if I'm trying, hard, to make the argument for him , it's not like he played well last year.

So if you can get a player to put up the same shitty numbers without the extra cost, without dividing the locker room, and without, oh you know, assaulting women, that's gotta be a win all the way around, right?

 

Greg Hardy would be a great pickup...if he had a different statline, age, criminal record, attitude, name, etc

Basically he'd be great if he was a different NFL player

 

Quick thought: would any of y'all visit a thread that was about "sports controversy" or something like that? Something maybe in the politics forum where we can discuss internal conflict in supporting sports due to how things like assault/violent crime/sexual crime/etc was treated and have a place to crack down on it ethically (along with things like CTE research), opposed to discussing those things here during the season, keeping the sensitive topics in a more sensitive area per se. Not sure if it'd be a good idea to have it split up like that but figured I'd pitch it.

Pure talent standpoint he is a force. If nothing else for the first half of last season he was terrifying, and even when he wasn't getting sacks later on he was still someone the offense had to keep an eye on. I completely understand that he is cancer, but if you have a team that needs a pass rush hes worth a shot imo.

 

I dig it. The things you mention go far beyond sports, and would be better suited in the politics forum, for sure. I'm sure they will still be brought up in the sports forum, but we can always direct the main discussion elsewhere. I think if it's in the politics forum, it will give those who don't follow sports a chance to chime in as well.
