I don't think Stidham will be a seemless transition, but I have more faith in Stidham learning the offense in a similar vain to Nick Marshall as opposed to John Franklin III.

What's crazy is that the top 3 QBs from that recruiting class have now all transferred: Kyler Murray, Blake Barnett, and now Jarett Stidham.

 

Hmm. You should realize that Auburn is only good the years they have no preseason hype. (2010 and 2013). They are pure garbage whenever media and fans expect them to be good. I can already see hype being built bc of this transfer... therefore they will suck. Jeremy Johnson, 2015 pre-season Heisman guy... am I right? How'd that turn out?

 

Ah yes because pre-season hype has the biggest impact on teams more than any other factor. Sound logic. Hype=failure. I'd hardly call any year outside of 2012 pure garbage, at least out of the last 10 years.
Jeremy Johnson was a bust for sure, but his was more of a head situation. Couldn't handle being the BMOC. Stidham hardly seems to be the same.

Odd move for Leavitt.

Perhaps leveraging for a raise (which he was probably going to get anyway) but not sure why he'd leave for any other reason with Colorado on the rise.

 

His salary is 500k. Youre probably right though, they still haven't extended mac either lol idk what they're on.

I'd be shocked if it doesn't happen soon. I was hoping our OC would have taken another job and we could have brought Helf to Seattle since him and CPete are tight. He's a great OC.

 

I would've liked him as OC. But Mark Helfrich is in the running for the OC job. I'd say that's a good plan B.
FAU is hilarious though. How desperate can you possibly be? You have Jimbo, Richt, McElwain, and Frost already in Florida PLUS Strong is coming PLUS the fact that FAU is more associated with cocaine than football.

 

Apparently lsu really likes Pitts OC Matty C.? Wouldn't be a bad hire either.

 

Fau was probably the only team willing to hire someone they're going to hate half way through the contract lol

 

Oh, FAU is terrible considering he once coached the Raiders, Vols, and Trojans at times in his life. But it's no secret he's trying to rebuild his resume. Much better fit for Kiffin than Houston, in my opinion.
