There were credible people saying they were really negotiating, what happened was probably that the price got higher than they realized they could pay. Would've been weird af, I mean I would've thought no one good was going to Houston years ago and that perception changed so anything is possible. Making a smaller program legit is tough but you know you'll get a p5 job for sure if it works out.

 

Charlie strong left usf and Tampa in general without a deal, he has to "consider" the offer. He did say "ill be back" though.

Also is Luke fickell actually a good coach?

 

Didn't USC also have a postseason ban, scholarship reductions and a change in AD during that time too lol

 

Jim Mora is good at recruiting, that's about it. It was fun when USC was sanctioned and UCLA was pretty good but now that's probably going to end. I wouldn't be surprised if he leaves for another job if it ever gets embarrassing.

 

UCLA will be fine in 2017. Josh Rosen going down killed any chance that had at being competitive.

 

I think I said that the last two years and they were average. Rosen is a stud but you can't win games if the rest of your team sucks. Half the time he's essentially Phillip rivers and has to come back when they're down by 4 at the end of a game. Maybe they would've made a good bowl if he didn't go down but they still should've been better IMO. They had some really good classes the last three years.

 

So excited to have Jarett Stidham at Auburn next year!! I love Sean White, but I have a feeling that Stidham will be our starter. Definitely feel bad for White, but if things don't go his way, I wouldn't be mad at all to see him transfer and have success elsewhere.

 

Lets not pretend the transition will be seemless from a Baylor spread offense to auburns whatever the hell they do, run three times into a cloud of dust lol
