Doesn't fit the narrative, my dude.

When Michigan scheduled Colorado in 2012, Colorado was 1-11 (1-8 in the Pac12).

When Washington scheduled Rutgers in 2014, Rutgers was 8-5 and beat UNC in the Quick Lane Bowl.

You just don't know how these teams are going to be years later after you schedule them. Another one they played this year was Idaho from the Sun Belt Conference who just had their best season in 19 years (8-4). Troy was also in the SBC and if I remember correctly, they gave Clemson every bit they could handle in Death Valley this year.

Washington had a home/home scheduled with Wisconsin which was supposed to start next year in Madison and then in Seattle in 2018 but Barry Alvarez pulled the plug on that a few years ago and Washington had to scramble to find a new opponent which is now FCS Montana (fart).

 

Speaking of schedules....Joey Galloway was on yesterday and said Washington couldn't handle Alabama's OOC schedule.

Alabama's OOC: Western Kentucky, Kent State, Chattanooga, USC*

2017's WR class is so bad. Stringfellow may have made the right decision.

I think so, but he's a late first round type of prospect.

It's OK at the top with Mike Williams, John Ross, and Corey Davis. That's it though. I see a lot more slot receivers than true outside threats.

I did notice that there's a lot more speed/smaller build guys so I think you're right about that. I haven't started actually looking at videos of anyone yet this season so I don't know a ton other than a few things I've read here and there.

I think Smith-Schuster was overrated from the start.

Mike Williams has the ability and size to be a monster in the NFL - if he runs a 4.5 40, he could sneak into the Top 10. I think he's easily the best WR in this class.

You are correct about the amount of small, speedy WRs.

Yeah that is egregious. Browning did not look good last Friday and so that probably wrecked him and his trip but I'm sorry, sending Peppers over him even with his few shit weeks is silly.

Browning has a few hundred yards less than Mayfield but like 7-8 more TDs. They're basically the same thing minus the fact that only 2-3 teams play any defense in the Big 12.

 

Ugh the Husky bandwagon in Seattle (the biggest front running city in the nation) is already filling up.

Chris Petersen made a joke yesterday about having the Seahawks practice with them to help get them ready for Alabama and I've seen countless people actually propose that as a real thing that could happen and isn't against the rules at all lol.

 

I've watched a fair amount of mike Williams, I think he's really good. I'd love for him to fall out but once the top guys fall out of it I'm sure a team will take him in that latter half. I'm assuming his injury stuff is behind him now right?

That's why I feel like bigger WRs might get pushed up even if they don't really deserve it.

 

Yeah, you could tell early in the year he was a little bit hesitant to take hits but I think he's playing better than before the fracture now.

I keep thinking Calvin Ridley is in this class, but nope...

 

Not that it would ever happen but joint practices with nfl teams sounds fun. I'd honestly pay to go watch a non contact preseason scrimmage between KC and Mizzou at arrowhead. More than I'd want to watch a regular preseason nfl game anyways..

If I'm not mistaken, of the P5, only the PAC12 and Big12 play 9 conference games. B1G, ACC, & SEC still play 8 conference games for whatever reason.
