It absolutely baffles me that people are talking about Washington as maybe the one who gets knocked out by Penn State, while Clemson is not only considered a lock but some have them ranked over Ohio State

Should be Bama, Ohio State, Washington, Clemson in that order

 

If they want Penn State in the playoffs they have to take out Ohio State. It's the only way that makes sense.

 

They're screwed in every way lol

 

But then who gets in? I feel for Michigan but you can't put in a Big Ten team that isn't the champ and has two league losses. Then you're talking about putting in someone like Oklahoma or USC

 

I would've put in Penn State over Ohio State. The other 3 that made it are fine imo.

order of the last two is surprising to me but i'm excited for the 1v4 game and these are the teams that make sense

 

Hope Ohio state knocks the snot out of Clemson. Bamas gonna beat uw by 100 sadly

 

Washington needs to get Jake Browning rest and get that arm right.

UWs defense can hang with Bamas offense, not too worried there. UWs defense is turnover heavy and Hurts seems to turn it over a decent amount.

Get Jakes arm rested and draw up some Petersen magic.

 

OSU should've been the 4 seed. Go Washington.

Correct order. There is no reason Penn State should go.

 

Think that's more a knock on OSU for not playing. They felt they needed to punish them or whatever.

 

Seems odd to move one conference champ ahead of them that barely won their game against a lesser foe by leave UW where they are after winning their title game against a Top 10 team by 31 but *kermit.jpg*

It's so confusing that Clemson struggles with #23 and moves up a spot. Washington destroys #8 and barely squeak in the 4th spot.

And then Ohio State gets in despite losing to Penn State. Herby was talking out of his ass that whole show. He said there are multiple things to consider. Two examples he gave were conference title and head to head. Penn State tops Ohio State in both spots.

As far as the non-conference opponent talk, these analysts are acting ridiculous by saying everyone should just schedule easy games now because it doesn't matter. The games are scheduled so far in advance it's hard to determine where these programs you're trying to schedule will be, let alone where your own program will be.

 

Ohio State is the better team though. Washington not being second is absurd.

 

But Penn State beat them head to head. Does that game just not matter? Why did they even play it if the result doesn't matter?

 

I always hear the argument that the college football regular season is so intense because it's like a playoff in itself. Well, apparently not.

 

The season is 12 games, not one. Winning one game does not make you the better team overall. Otherwise, Pittsburgh would be in the playoffs.

 

They also won the conference title. Which tells me they were pretty good over the course of a season.

 

Not better than Ohio State or Michigan though.

 

Those were the right four teams. PSU shouldn't have been in. Losing to Pitt and getting blown out by Michigan kind of sealed that.

 

I'd be pissed if I was a UW fan.
