Well they'll release a Top 25 which I think sets a good chunk of the bowl games....

i.e. who is ranked higher, Colorado or USC? Highest ranked team left (assuming Washington gets into the playoff) goes to the Rose. IMO, If Colorado kept it closer v. UW, they'd stay ahead of USC but because they were smoked---USC should pass them.

 

I mean, I've been vocal about this in the past. It's incidental that they were playing my team tonight.

And I legitimately think if the same thing happened at Wisconsin as at Penn State or Baylor I'd stop being a fan. Those things are way bigger than football.

Well, I do apologize to anyone reading this if I came off that way, I certainly didn't mean to delegitimize what happened at Penn State by using it as ammunition. I see how it can easily read like that, but ultimately I think we're in agreement.

 

Nah, Penn State and Baylor are "non-football" scandals, but we'll give out the death penalty for fucking recruiting violations.

And KJ, pitt penn st is a rivalry even if they just started playing every year again. And the rivalry extends beyond football.

Pittsburgh is a really strong program that is on the rise.

They took down Clemson and Penn State...and barely lost to Virginia Tech, North Carolina, and Oklahoma State.

 

Rivalry or not, that's not a good loss if you're trying to state your case and are on the cusp of the playoff.

Even after knocking off Penn State/Clemson, they're still barely ranked. Why?

As far as Washingtons schedule, I think you could compare Pitt pretty closely just in terms of ranking to a team like Washington State which Washington wrecked (also a rivalry).

What time are they announcing the playoff seeding? My guide says the selection show is 4 hours long which is absolutely absurd haha

I've changed my opinion. Rankings should be:

Alabama
vs
Penn State

Clemson
vs
Washington

 

I think it should be Alabama Vs Clemson and UW Vs Ohio State. Despite Browning playing like shit, they still won by 31 Vs a much better team than Clemson who struggled and barely beat a fairly average Virginia Tech Team. USC is also a much better loss than Pitt even if it was a blowout.

 

it's not hating pitt to say they're the worst loss of any of the playoff contenders. they're a good program, they're just not usc or michigan
