Can the Rose Bowl take Michigan? Or are they locked into the B1G champ?

A Washington/UM bowl is not going to happen. Washington should be a lock. If they aren't, either UM or PSU is in the playoffs

I think they're locked into the B1G Champ unless that champ makes the CFP.

Too bad, I think Michigan is a more appealing choice.

It's not complicated. Ohio state or psu...that's it

It's even less complicated than that - OSU is the obvious choice.

psu is not getting in over UW. y'all need to do less. the top four teams from last week all made it through without a loss. this isn't happening.

they aren't locked. it goes to the highest ranked team. which will likely be PSU, given their win. PSU v. USC for the rose

Bob Stoops now has more Big 12 Championships than home losses.

At least between Clemson and psu, only one evil team would emerge...

    2. Clemson vs. 7. Ohio State
    3. Washington vs. 6. Western Michigan
    4. Penn State vs. 5. Oklahoma

    And this one is ideal.

First six seeds are conference champions, seeded in order of the highest CFP ranked Power 5 champions plus the highest ranked Group of 5 champion.

    HOT. FIRE.

    RE: UW's OCC schedule.

UW also beat Idaho by 45 who finished 8-4 in the Sun Belt Conference.

Clemson beat Troy (also in the Sun Belt Conference) by 6. Troy finished 9-3 including a loss today to 5-7 GA Southern.

God damn do I hate Clemson.

Always do the right thing. Supporter

I'm late on this but I was just kind of perusing the thread, and it just really rubs me the wrong way to see people calling out Penn State fans for being fans of Penn State as if they support what happened at Penn State. The meaningful way to contextualize what happened at Penn State and Baylor is to ask, if the same thing happened with a team or school I support, would they have done the same thing? I think the answer is overwhelmingly, "probably". But to engage on that level requires holding oneself accountable, and that's hard. This is not to excuse what happened at Penn State or Baylor. Both programs should have been dismantled or, at least, shelved for a significant amount of time to truly reconcile with the gravity of what happened. But to see child abuse and rape allegations used as ammunition to demean a team that's beating a team one supports at college football... it's fucking gross. It misses the point and again, yes, Penn State is a despicable program who celebrated Joe Paterno earlier this year and that is abhorrent and they should not be allowed to field a team for what they let happen, but it doesn't feel like any critique of that is coming from a meaningful place in what I saw said here tonight.

i'm writing a book, leave me alone.

This question got lost in the plethora of all our posts but does the committee pick just the playoff or do they (kind of) assign all bowl game match ups?
