Alabama, Clemson, and Washington are locks.

Penn St vs OSU for the fourth spot. OSU is probably the better team, but by virtue of head to head, division champion, and conference championship, Penn St should be going instead imo. Guess we'll see what the committee says. (Fully expecting them to go OSU.)

If Penn State gets in.....does the Rose Bowl take Michigan over Wisconsin?

  4. "defending"... lol.
Please point out where I defended what old-shitty assholes did.

I think OSU should get it, one fewer loss and didn't get embarrassed by 39 in any game, didn't lose to Pitt, better wins overall

  7. They should - I think the best Wisconsin can hope for is the Cotton Bowl

    Most likely yeah

I think they would. Michigan fans would travel better, I'd think. More money.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

It's always about the money. Michigan will always get into bowl games they sometimes shouldn't be in because of cash

  11. The committee would be smart to set up Bama v Ohio St and Washington v Clemson. That'd be two solid matchups.

The thing is between OSU and the apologists, there's certainly the head to head result and conference championship at play, but OSU's total body of work is definitely more impressive

i'm writing a book, leave me alone.

i've seen Penn State fans say, "yeah we lost badly to Michigan and we lost to Pitt. guess we're so terrible, but we beat you so what does that say about you?"

either way, the committee is gonna be hassled over this for years to come.

I think they'd want to save OSU-Bama for the NC though

    Michigan-USC would be tight.

lol yeah and then they risk it and end up with Washington-Clemson in the NC.

Yeah I think that's a bad argument lol does that mean Iowa is better than Michigan? That's a pretty simplistic way of looking at things, it's about the resume as a whole

    Love to see it

  19. I don't think they'll be hassled over it over years to come - it'll be a good debate for a week

I mean the committee knows that OSU will play well in the playoffs and they know that Alabama would beat Penn State by 30+ (Bama would have done the same thing to Wisconsin too)

At the end of the day the committee truly cares about money and ratings and they don't want a repeat of last year's Bama-MSU game where people turned off the game before halftime

And that's why I think they keep Penn State out of the final four

agreed, but hey, what would you say if it was your team in Penn State's spot? if it was my team, i can't imagine me saying that OSU should get in over my team that beat them and won the conference championship *shrug*

does the committee need to be unanimous in the decision? or just majority? how does that work with 12 members if it is that way?

Well if Wisconsin had won this and gotten left out for OSU it'd be hard to complain too much, of course that's a different scenario since OSU beat Wisconsin but I still think it's about more than one game; hate that I'm defending OSU here but their body of work is pretty unparalleled this year

Still super bummed that Wisconsins defense sucked so bad here

i mean, what if Wisconsin was 11-2 with a conference championship and a head to head win over Ohio State. would you feel OSU should be in ahead of your team?

  25. It really was just the secondary - front 7 still played well enough to get stops
