If that's the argument you're going with, then conference championships are literally meaningless.

You don't think the players care about being called sec champions? or care about spoiling Clemsons season? or Colorado going from a joke to pac12 champs?

It's not all about winning a national championship.

Meaningless in the playoff discussion I mean. Thought that was clear.

It's not meaningless for Clemson or Washington though. if they lose they're out

The only game that's meanibgless this year is the sec title game and that's only cause Bama crushed it. which is fine. they earned the right to chill

With your argument, winning the conference wouldn't matter to Wisconsin or Oklahoma because they didn't win the necessary "play in" games.

Oregon's best recruit in the 2017 class (Deommodore Lenoir) just de-commited. Program continues to fall off a cliff.

Yawn? This is a great day.

Although, I suppose Yawn is right because even with top recruits, they can't coach defense down there if it smacked them in the face so I guess it probably wouldn't matter.

It's sounds like the winner of the big10 champ game might need help, yes. but that's not a guarantee either. I think that game is a pretty big deal for both teams involved.

I dont feel bad for the big12. I fully admit I kinda enjoy watching them get left out

I just want the playoffs to be fun and not Bama dominating

10-2 Stanford was left out last year...it's the B1Gs turn to have one sit out.

lol this Kirbo Flocutt or whatever guy is a chode.

Based off what he just said

    1) Penn State stands at about .5% shot of getting in
    2) Wisconsin stands even less than that
    3) Washington is probably going to be passed up by Michigan even with a win on Friday.

At least that is what I took from it.

God if Michigan still gets in over those other teams I swear...

Literally all I took from that conversation was that if UW doesn't win by 14+, Michigan is going to take their spot. The committee wants Michigan in there.

Good to know it's all about the money and ratings. I hope Washington just blows out Colorado.

I'm curious how this whole thing would be playing out if OKST was 11-1 like they should be barring a massive reffing error (in admittedly a game that shouldn't have been close) which I don't think they should be penalized for, honestly.

    Great Googly Moogly Prestigious

They'd still probably be out in the end but yeah they'd be a lot lot closer

Other interesting ranking notes. navy is only 2 behind wmu. wmu is lucky that navy is only playing temple and not sfu since I don't think a temple win will allow them to jump wmu

And Auburn ahead of Florida. sugar bowl implications

  24. MyBestFiend

Temple needs Ohio to win to have a shot. TBH hard to see Navy jumping WMU if they both win, unless Navy rolls and WMU squeaks by.

Oh shit I disn't even think about the possibility if temple and Ohio winning.

The rules state highest ranked CONFERENCE WINNER. it would probably be temple...that's crazy
