Now I see Brian Kelly is looking to leave his job. No. That fucker deserves to get the pink slip. He shouldn't leave on his own terms.

Who gets left out if Clemson, Washington, and Wisconsin all win?

Say PSU wins. What about their resume will be better than Colorado's?

Both will have losses to Michigan.
Colorado has a quality loss loss to USC which is better than losing to Pitt.
Meanwhile Colorado has a quality win over Washington vs PSU's wins over Wisconsin and Ohio State

Those resumes are pretty close, and I'd think having four different conferences in the playoff gives enough of a boost to Colorado

    Oklahoma and Wisconsin

Vanderbilt has beaten Tennessee 3 out of the last 5 years.

Ohio State is a great team but pretty much locking them into the #2 spot is just weird to me. What is the point of even having conference championships?

It'd be weird to see one of Penn State/Wisconsin get left out as a B1G Champ (Especially PSU considering they beat OSU)

Yeah, I agree with that. They have a solid resume but if they stay at 2 they'll end up ahead of every conference champion except Alabama. Also, psst...Penn State isn't that great a loss....they're ranked so high strictly because of the OSU game.

Honestly, looking at Clemson's schedule I don't see how it's better than Washington's and why they'd be automatically in if they win the ACC and Washington maybe isn't if they win the PAC-12.

Clemson has had a lot of close call / bad quarters / games of play this season compared to Washington, which may or may not swing the committee.

Clemson has beaten 2 (at the time) ranked teams this year - I think - and Louisville win means almost nothing now with how their season has gone and lost to an unranked 8-4 team at home.

Washington has beaten 4 ranked teams (at the time, and still ranked) - I think - in Stanford, Utah, Wash State and Colorado. And lost to an improving and on fire ranked USC team at home.

    Playoff could very well be:

    Alabama
    Big Ten Champion
    Ohio State
    Washington

Side note: no real interest in either team but it seems like everyone has Clemson as a shoe in and looking at it I don't really see why. Because they were close in the title game last year?

Hopefully VT beats Clemson and leaves no discussion about them being in.

I think you make very good points. I'm guilty of overrating Clemson myself, but I do think there's a great case for Washington being included over Clemson. Even that Louisville win looks pretty average now.

It's weird because that game was on 10/22 so just over a month ago and if I remember correctly, Penn State was not ranked ANYWHERE in the Top 25 but has a meteoric jump after that and have steadily risen since despite playing the gauntlet of Purdue, Iowa, Indiana, Rutgers, and Michigan State.

Now, if conference championships mean anything and Penn State wins the B1G next Saturday and the committee takes OSU over PSU then that'd be stupid and I fully expect it to happen.

UW's schedule was incredibly weak to start the year but the back half has really put a backbone on it despite the USC loss. But yes, if they beat Colorado next week---they'll have two Top 10 wins by ranking at the time (Stanford/Colorado) and then wins against ranked teams in Utah/Wazzu with a conference championship.

They should be in but this B1G love fest worries me.

What is Clemson's best win? It was Louisville but they've dropped two in a row so that doesn't look nearly as strong as it did. Florida State? Meh....

Not sure how anybody can sit there and point fingers at Washington's schedule/results but then not do the same with Clemson.

I'm biased, but I think Wisconsin has to be in if they win. I wouldn't say the same about Penn State.

I guess I don't understand that....I mean, granted, I think whoever wins the B1G deserves to be in but then that means tOSU needs to get the fuck out.

But I just think Penn State has a better case as a B1G champ AND a victory over tOSU.

There's that, plus Wisconsin lost to OSU, but I'm having a hard time putting Penn State in there with a loss to Pitt and a 39 point loss to Michigan.

At the end of the day, I'd personally put the four conference champions in over OSU but I see what's attractive about OSU to the committee so I understand the argument, just a shame that it could end up hurting one of the others.

I hear you and would be fine with that.....I guess at the end of the day, my beef is with the idea of Ohio State being in (which seems all but locked in now) and the B1G champ being left out and/or PERHAPS Washington being left out.

If you're going to do that, literally quit conference championships since they don't mean shit.

I just want 4 super conferences and a relegation system like in my NCAA 14 dynasty.

Also, UTSA is bowl eligible for the first time in school history, go runners!
