Ugh, that loss to South Carolina keeps getting worse. We'd still be on the very fringes of the hunt after all the chaos.

  3. Rankings probably play out something like 1 Bama 2 OSU 3 Clemson 4 Louisville 5 Michigan 6 Wisconsin 7 Washington 8 Penn State 9 Oklahoma 10 Colorado

  4. I'm thrilled yet also terrified at the thought of the Alex Hornibrook/Bart Houston duo lining up against that Bama D haha

Penn State winning out and Ohio State beating Michigan would cause such a cluster fuck at this point

Damn, I really wish Auburn had Kam Pettway today. No excusing that lack of offense in the second half though. Our WRs are looking like they did last year just dropping everything.

I still think we'll give Bama a tight game just because the talent is there and it's a rivalry game, but it's a shame it'll mean nothing except MAYBE a Sugar Bowl appearance if the East stays a mess and we somehow win.

What a crazy day though. Got to watch the Clemson 4th quarter with a Pitt fan, so that definitely lifted my spirits. At this point, the more chaos the better. Here's to Western Michigan being the only undefeated team this year. Let's make this happen.

Why didn't Iowa play like that all year tho

It's so satisfying to see Michigan lose and watch everyone panic about them.

Still bummed about last night but that was the game that had me concerned. USC has one of the best rosters in college football year in, year out and when they're on their game as they have been the past five weeks since inserting Sam Darnold in at QB then shit....

This is not the same USC team that was mauled by Bama in Week 1. The talent gap is what showed up last night for me.

Our offensive line was mauled all night and we couldn't get pressure on him, that was the story of the game.

Now with three of the top four losing, UW easily had the best loss of the three but it's almost certain they'll drop further than the other two which is fine.

I said before the season that I expected a good year from the Dawgs but that 2017 is when I expected this type of year considering they were 7-6 last year so to me, they're still ahead of schedule and sitting at 9-1 so I can't be too mad right now.

I'm shooting for the Rose Bowl at this point and that would be awesome still.

At least clay helton will remain coach now

Clay Helton should be still fired for not starting Sam Darnold in Week 1.

I don't see how that mistake was made. Max Browne brought that team nothing. Darnold appears to be a star in the making.

USC still needs help to win the South and if they had put Darnold in earlier, they would likely be winning it now.

What a crazy day. Michigan is not as good as everyone thought, clearly. OSU should move to #2

So the Big Ten might get two teams in the playoff, or one which absolutely no one in the world would guess this year - Wisconsin or Penn State.

    What a year.

Really don't want James franklin in the playoffs, even though I will admit they are kind of fun to watch with a more spread offense. Still hate him tho

Lol they lost on a last second field goal to a team that went undefeated last year. Clemson put up 600 passing yards on Pittsburgh and still lost while UW got blown out by the ever overrated USC.

USCs roster rivals Alabama every year. USCs issues have been coaching related.

They are by far the most talented team on the west coast and I'm not sure it's particularly close when they play like it, as they did last night (and have for the past month)

Clemson and Michigan lost to unranked teams which is a big deal this far into the season.

I don't get the ranking system and what counts as a good loss and what doesn't....

UW beat #7 Stanford in September and then Stanford implodes a bit (they've rebounded nicely) and fall out of the rankings and suddenly that's not a good win for UW.

Ohio State loses to unranked Penn State who then got a massive jump in the rankings because of that win and then all of a sudden that is considered a "good loss".

Isn't that the same thing with very different consequences?

Since USC is likely ranked in the Top 12 or so in the playoff rankings this week, is this a "good loss" for UW or nah?

Well yeah, but calling out Michigan for having a better loss than Clemson was weird

This is just not even remotely close to true. LSU rivals Bama. Ohio State. Etc... USC is name recognition and nothing else.

It feels to me like upsets happen more often in night games than 11 or 3 o'clock games. I wonder if there is any "truth" or data that shows that.
