By your logic, Clemson has two wins over teams that are ranked (Louisville, great win) and Florida State (why are they ranked???).

Clemson finishes the season PITT , Wake Forest, and South Carolina....all unranked. So if Washington beats USC (probably will be ranked tonight), Arizona State (garbage), Washington State (#25 now, will rise tonight) and Stanford ends up ranked at the end of the year then that could give UW wins over 4 Top 25 teams.

Should they be above Clemson if they win the Pac-12 Championship game which would be a victory against another Top 25 team for total of five wins over the Top 25 or Nah because Clemson?

I'm getting tired of people discounted OSU's win in Oklahoma. That was a big win.

    they also beat Auburn.

Can't fault the coach/kids for the schedule that was created years ago by Scott Woodward (who oddly enough is now the AD at Texas A&M). The schedule is something that is in the process of being changed, see basically @Auburn in 2018 and a home/home with Michigan starting in 2020 at Husky Stadium.

Wisconsin pissed their pants and bailed on the home and home scheduled a few years ago....can't help that.

Ah yes, and Ohio State played such juggernauts in Bowling Green and Tulsa.

Wisconsin also beat the pre-Miles firing LSU team that looked horrible. I'm a huge Wisconsin fan, but let's be real. Most of the respect they're getting is because they lost to Michigan and OSU by a td each.

Ok so....even if you factor that into the equation, UW still will have more wins over the Top 25. Does that matter?

Every top ten team has 3-5 of those layups on their schedule. None more than Michigan. Just saying haha.

okay ill just tell you what you want to hear. Washington should be ranked #1, they're amazing. Only the wins they've accumulated are worthy and everyone else's is crap. There's clearly some sort of bias against this program because they play at 10:30 every night...and the committee is nothing but geezers.

    there we are haha

I remember last week when the argument for A&M over Washington was the OOC schedule JUST because they beat UCLA. UCLA is fucking GARBAGE and A&M needed overtime to beat them at home.

The rest of A&Ms schedule? Prairie View A&M, New Mexico State, UTSA.

Seriously? I realize UW's OOC schedule is weak and I hate it. I pay $2700 for season tickets and to have three games at home like that is criminal and you won't hear me ever say otherwise but jesus christ, man.

I'm merely presenting talking points here. Don't be dumb.

Alabama is #1 and there is no debating it. The rest of the order shouldn't be thought of as anything remotely locked in. You can make the case for the rest of the order. Ohio State is a good football team but they lost to a very average Penn State squad. That HAS to count for something.

I'm not the only one that has asked the question about how many are actually watching late night Pac-12 games....that's a legitimate question.

If we are on the topic of Top 25 wins...who has Michigan defeated to warrant their position? They beat a 2-2 Penn State team who again, was not ranked at the time when they were playing very poor football. They have a win over Colorado which is good outside of the very important fact that Michigan was getting smoked in the first half before Colorado lost their QB and his replacement came in early in the third and was murked.

Colorado would have likely beaten Michigan had Liufau been able to stay in.

It looks like Michigan has ONE good win vs Wisconsin. Your argument can be made for literally every school except Bama. They are in a class of their own.

    Regular

    Clemson won't beat SC lol

    The rivalry is back on

Not saying it's right or wrong as much as I'm asking if a close (or not, in the case of Texas A&M) loss to a good team is more beneficial to the way the selection committee decides the rankings than a close win against a team that will be 10-15 spots lower in the rankings since you beat them?

And what does Washington have going for them other than they're undefeated?

I think they should be ranked higher as well but they don't play in a Power 5 conference so that argument isn't the same and you know it.

why not? It seems like you feel that undefeated is undefeated and strength of schedule doesn't matter

haha look we're talking in circles here. This is a non-sense debate about rankings with 4 weeks to go. ugh i hate myself for getting trapped in this discussion. It doesn't matter, things will work itself out.

Good hell. You presented the Top 25 argument and I shot holes all over it.

Clearly we aren't going to agree so let's just let this horse die where it lies. No point to continue this.

Being undefeated doesn't mean much if you haven't had a strong or at least somewhat strong schedule. I would say that Washington has had a very weak schedule so far.

Gonna be some real angry B1G fans here when UW passes them IF they finish undefeated then.

LSU dropped 11 spots after that game against Alabama? But OSU drops like 3 spots after losing to Penn State? Granted, they weren't playoff rankings but man....

    LMAO.

USC @ 20....so another Top 25 win if the Husky's take care of business on Saturday.

A&M loses to 3-5 Miss St. and they only dropped four spots? This shit is dumb. Is Sumlin on this stupid ass committee?
