i'm writing a book, leave me alone.

forgot to add, and you probably saw it / heard about it, there was an article (i think, "college football final" on ESPN) that said something like, "Michigan scored 62 (or whatever it was), Louisville scored 52, Washington scored 66, but the most impressive day was Alabama winning 10-0".

i usually don't think the SEC bias of ESPN is as strong as others, but acknowledge it is present at times, but that sentence alone made me laugh so fucking hard. a bunch of top ten teams win by high double digits - including OSU by fucking 59 over what was a one-loss top 10 team, but the best win of the weekend was Bama over LSU 10-0? sure, sure.

some things just don't make sense in this world.

That's how it was when UW beat then ranked #7 Stanford 44-6 back on Sept. 30. They BARELY brushed it on Sportscenter and then on College Gameday the next morning and then they had their weekly hit piece on UW starring Desmond Howard (who is still salty from this):

Hoping they bring Mario Bailey up as the guest picker this weekend. But yeah, can't do much about the bias that I personally think is very strong.

Probably not but if it did, I can tell you that I wouldn't be even remotely shocked. You realize who is on the committee, right?

an undefeated pac 12 champ is going to be in the playoffs.

they're in the top 4 now. Wait i'm confused why you're nervous?

No they aren't. They're currently #5. A&M jumped them last week and now talk is Ohio State is going to jump them on Tuesday.

Except Auburn is a good win. But sure.

oh right in the CFP poll. Well again, dont worry. I'l be frank. I don't have Washington currently in the top 4 either, but dont worry, in the end them being an undefeated top conference champ will rocket them to where they need to be

Except not. You can't just erase context. Like the Penn state thing. And you said yourself, that was a very different team back then.

If you think like that then Oklahoma should've never gotten in last year lol

That's not even close to the same thing. I'm just saying it's a good win or not. It doesn't become one just because someone decided to overrate Auburn or Penn State. What, when those teams lose again is it a bad win again?

What I don't get is why A&M is still ahead after a bad loss

The new playoff rankings don't come out until tomorrow. They'll surely drop but I'm curious to see how far. With them being in the SEC, they'll probably drop to 6 or something silly. May even bump UW down to 6 and slide nicely into the 5 spot, imo.

    KJ's Predictor Committee Playoff Challenge

    1) Bama
    2) Clemson
    3) Michigan
    4) Ohio State
    5) Texas A&M
    6) Penn State
    7) Auburn
    8) Western Michigan
    9) Tennessee
    10) Kentucky
    11) UW

    imo.

Apparently a sports radio station in Portland is reporting that Phil Knight has already approached Chris Petersen and offered that $10M contract to leave UW and head south to Eugene to coach the Ducks.

    Probably bullshit.....

As a Clemson fan, I think the Syracuse win is a good win for one reason: because Clemson didn't turn the ball over. That is a HUGE step for an offense that has been shooting itself in the foot with self-inflicted turnovers all year. Other than that, the win is what should be expected. It shouldn't be considered a marquee win by any means.

To be fair....Syracuse is 100th in FBS with a -4 turnover margin (111th in Total Defense). Not exactly a team that is a threat to take the ball away.

Offenses can kind of do whatever the hell they want against that scrub squad.

Let's just pray that SC beats Florida and Western Carolina, so the Clemson game actually looks like it will be close haha

True, but I was more thinking about the self-inflicted turnovers. Like simply getting tripped up and just coughing up the ball, or a receiver taking his eyes of the ball and it hits off his hands and hangs in the air forever and gets picked. Those things can happen against anybody, and it was a good change not to see them lol

Oddly nervous about the USC game this weekend. Everything points to UW winning with Gameday in town and a rocking stadium which is easily one of the loudest in the country.

Saw an interesting piece of info that none of the Trojans on the current roster have ever played UW in Seattle nor has Helton coached in Seattle. USC has been playing much better as of late since inserting Sam Darnold but those were all wins against teams like Arizona State, Arizona, Oregon, Cal, Colorado---4/5 all at home at The Coliseum).

I feel like I should be more confident than I am about it.....

    The rivalry is back on

I'm rooting for Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Kentucky to finish in a 5-way tie for 1st in the East, so SC over UF is a must.

It's weird when the fans most happy with their coach are Kentucky (maybe they aren't anymore) and SC fans lol

Not gonna say losing Spurrier is a good thing but I think the school needed to start a new Era

It was a good thing. He let the program go into the dirt because of his arrogance, his inability to fire crappy coaches, his lazy attitude towards recruiting, and keeping his crappy son around.... /rant
