As for my assessment of Tennessee's season thus far, it's baffling that we're as equally close to 2-6 as we are to 7-1. I don't understand how the same team that scored 42 unanswered on VTech, 38 unanswered on Florida, took TA&M to 2OT, and beat Georgia at home (including it in this category because it's a huge rivalry that's historically close) is also the same team that almost lost to App State, struggled against Ohio, and couldn't score against the statistically worst defense in the SEC.

It's hard to ignore injuries, as key leaders all over the field have been out for the majority of the season. Sutton and Reeves-Maybin will be in the NFL next year, and we haven't had them since the Ohio game. Hell, we played SCar last night with our third and fourth string RBs for three quarters. Kamara and Hurd keep defenses honest, but they knew with Kelly and the guy who caused the fumble they could just spy Dobbs. At one point last night, six of the defenders on the field didn't even have football scholarships. I think it was 11 of the 17 returning starters were injured going into the Bama game. That's some seriously shitty luck. But at some fundamental levels, we should've been able to cope with the injuries after four great recruiting classes. There shouldn't be excuses in the next guy up department. Not with four years of timing.

So I guess that leaves the coaching. Predictable and safe until we're down by 17-21 points, and then all of a sudden it's like we're a dramatically different team. DeBord is horrible calling the offense until we're in panic mode (which, after so many come from behind scenarios in this season, at least the players are poised in the panic a fair amount of the time), we don't have a QB Coach (paging Peyton Manning), and Shoops can't seem to figure out how to play defense until 20 minutes into the game. Don't even know what they're coaching when it comes to how often we're fumbling the ball. At minimum, I think DeBord and Shoops have to go, but I'm also ready for Butch to go. (Keep in mind, this is colored by the current rumor going around town that secret talks with Les Miles started last night, but those are probably all untrue. But I'd love that. We can't recruit QBs anyway, so it's not like it would weaken us anywhere.)

The positives: Derek Barnett/Cory Vereen tandem, Alvin Kamara and Jauan Jennings.

We'll be bowl eligible next week (assuming Tennessee Tech doesn't shock us at homecoming, but this season I wouldn't rule it out), but Vandy and Kentucky are looking to be much bigger tasks than anticipated so who knows where our record will end up. I thought anything less than 10-2 would be a failure this season, and while 9-3 is still in play, I wouldn't be surprised to see 8-4 or even 7-5. I haven't watched Mizzou yet this season to know how that game will go, but I've heard they're the worst team in the east right now, maybe even the SEC.

My biggest pet peeve last night: Why not try for the Hail Mary again? Medley was never making that FG and we have some boss ass receivers and two of SCar's starting secondary had already been ejected.

So that's where this Tennessee fan is at, DooDoo. I'd assume the other two are as equally frustrated.

Nashville isn't a college town. Otherwise Seattle would be.

Oh, Austin, if we are calling that the south. That's the best by far.

And another big Ole fuck you to Tally haha

Agreed for sure. Ann Arbor is pretty great. The whole northeast really. Never a loss for things to do. You aren't doing shit in Columbia, Missouri.

i'm writing a book, leave me alone.

Madison is amazing. If every state had a Madison we'd live in a much better world. Or at least a better United States.

I have nothing negative to say about Madison. Mostly because no one says anything about Wisconsin expect "fuck Milwaukee."

I need to go to Wisconsin still. Madison is on my list.

Breckenridge/Vail are up there for me. Ashville and Ashland too.

  11. Can confirm Ohio State has plenty of shitty fans, I know this will shock many.

Columbus is p cool. Campus is kind of it's own mini-city next door and is also nice.

Ann Arbor is good but rooting for Michigan is not.

That's how you know Ann Arbor is the shit. OSU-fan backed.

Gainesville has a great music scene. Other than that it's pretty identical to Tally.

We are ready for you to go, my man! You shouldn't live in a place you hate! And you shouldn't work for a school that you hate so much. Hope you find a better place.

Over the past 9 years I've lived in 8 different cities. Columbia is home for me. It's not trash. It's home. When you find a place that is home, you'll know it, and you'll love it. I love Columbia. Is it the nicest city on earth? Hell no. Is it the place that's been the most fun to live? Debatable. It's home though, and I'm ok with living here. Hopefully, you can find that place soon!

Keep it that way. It's three boring cities surrounded by terrifying small towns. Except Havana. Havana was where I was in. They were alright there.

I kind of have an idea, I had an ex from there. It seems just like every other bible belt place by magnified by 100 and smaller.

Tallahassee can be super artsy and liberal and if you're in that scene I'd recommend the hell out of it. It's just too small for me. Getting bigger though.

I've only lived in Tampa. Probably won't go back to Florida unless I decide to go to Disney World or something...

My friend who I mentioned "knew" ej Manuel and dated augayo went to fsu so I had an idea but it was way far from where we hung out so I never visited. She moved back here a year later so I guess ill never know haha ill take your word for it though. There's just not a real reason to go out of my way to go to tally.
