Maybe he can work on his shooting after summer league ends

Nets raised the offer 5m as if that's going to change anything Lol they're gonna strike out on both and have like 50+m to spend next year.

Say what you want about Ezeli. I am not trying to say he is the top center, but I like him on Portland more than Leonard. His defense alone makes him a nice fit on that team. And at that term and value, it's a much better deal than some of the other signings out there.

    Meyers Leonard isn't a center

  7. Going to a couple summer league games tomorrow.

    Nuggets v Timberwolves
    Lakers v Pelicans

Some good players on each team. From my understanding it's just general admission so I'm thinking I'll be able to sit pretty close to the court. Should be fun.

Nuggets should be fun to watch. Plus Ingram. I want to go to Vegas Summer League one year.

  9. Russell is on the Lakers summer team as well. Buddy v Ingram/Russell

Oh yea, forgot Buddy went to the Pelicans. I didn't think Russell was doing summer league. That should definitely be fun.

  11. Well, he's listed on nba.com but that could be wrong.

Makes sense. Usually 2nd year guys only get to skip it if they were legitimately in the rookie of the year race. Russell ended strong, but I can see why they'd want him to get some more reps, especially with a new coach and system.

Dude, come on. He is 7'1 and a defensive liability. He's effectively a center on at least one end of the court. Regardless of how you'd like to list him, I would still rather have Ezeli than Leonard on this Blazers team.

One of the important nuances to the Delly S&T followed by the Dunleavy move is that the Cavs have yet to re-sign LeBron and J.R. Smith. Had they moved early and inked them to contracts yesterday, that would have put them over the cap and unable to execute a S&T, per CBA rules. The Cavs and every tax-paying team is only on the hook for paying tax if they over the apron on the day of the last regular season game. Once the season ends and the moratorium begins, all bets are off. Teams, depending on the cap position can now operate as a team with room until they go over again.

Your opinion on Leonard is interesting because there are Wolves fans that are kind of pining for him.

Sad days everyone, no Olympic Giannis this year. Greece lost in the qualifiers. Greek Freak played pretty poorly today, forced a lot of plays.

I think Minnesota should feel good about having Towns, Dieng, and and a great value contract in Aldrich. Honestly, if they want to find a stretch small-ball big, they should try doing with Shabazz what Charlotte did with Marvin. I think that would mask some of his defensive shortcomings. I just don't see a need for Meyers by the Timberwolves.

I love the theory that riley purposely held out bosh just to save money. I hate that pos so much.

Riley is very much the "you're good for me until you're not" type of front office guy. Can't say he is completely wrong in that approach, but it does open you up for some criticism. Now is definitely one of those times.
