Brad Stevens and Isaiah Thomas are surprisingly candid about how dogshit the Celtics have been.

Who is going to take them out? The Clippers? They never stay healthy... The Spurs? Not enough experience... Steph had the worst game of his life on Friday night and everyone is going nuts saying they are done lol... They will get it going and find consistency.

Yeah, GS will be fine. It's not like they are playing bad either. I would say they are still ahead of Miami and Cleveland when their super teams first started.

I'd be pretty tickled if the Pelicans won their first game tonight.

So Clippers seem to be the second best team in the league, no? At least until GS gets it going, but even then their matchups will be interesting.

Because it's not like he was Kevin Garnett wasting away in Minnesota. He was playing with the best PG in the league and a solid supporting cast and was a hero to a community that previously didn't have much to hang it's hat on. They had the Warriors beat and blew it, the fact that he'd rather say fuck it and join them than come back pissed off next year knowing he can beat them says a lot about him as a player.
I can absolutely fault him for that

Well, there goes Curry, breaking another three point record. Thirteen threes in one game.

Donyell Marshall and his threes was such a good bar trivia question. Like all good things...

That may be true, but Miami and Cleveland had the luxury of playing in the East, which was - and still is - a joke. Much better competition in the West to keep GSW honest. I think GSW will eventually be fine, but no guarantee they make it to the finals, imo. The east has been so bad that the Cavs started 19-20 the first year of LBJ, KI, Love and still made it to the Finals.

I haven't really watched much of GSW this season but when the whole Durant thing went down this summer, and GSW had to make room for him, I thought they were getting rid of some of their strong suits which was A) their bench and B) their interior defense/rim protection. It's great to have a whole bunch of stars, but you also need strong role players and defense.

I just think per usual, most media and NBA fans are overreacting to a couple of losses and Klay's slump. Curry broke free and Durant has had no issues getting going. If this were to continue into March, then I think it would make more sense. For a team that was shooting so many threes and making them at an incredible rate, a slump is bound to occur. Just a few weeks ago in the pre-season everyone was talking about how well Klay looked and was shooting. It's a long season and things can turn around quickly. Until a west team can knock GS out in a playoff series, I will continue to side with them prevailing.

Be kind; everyone is on their own journey.

Not to mention Curry gets the elusive 13 a game after breaking his streak of consecutive games with a 3...streaks happen to every player, but with a 3 point shooting team, it's just easier to notice.

That was kind of funny that he went off like that after having the streak broken. It is just really strange that such a good team can't beat the Lakers in LA. They must be partying all night before and then playing on zero sleep. So bizarre.

I've had this debate with many people, and I still say that he made the decision based on the big picture of his career. There have been players that stayed with franchises and never won a championship that regret it. KD didn't want that. What would you do if you had the opportunity to join a team that has the makings of one of the greatest in history? Plus, the are a group of unselfish players that want to win. There are no Kobe Bryant like players on the team. It's a once in lifetime chance that I think he had to go for.

Selfishly, from a balance of power standpoint, I wish KD stayed in OKC. I think KD was tired of carrying a community and just wants to win. I think he is trying to figure out what he wants in his NBA career. I think he was conflicted like many others have been. The Russ-KD thing has been heavily talked about, but I think KD may have had some issues with general roster construction. I think he had doubts in their ability to put a complete package around KD and Russ. Adams is nice, but it came at the expense of Harden. Everything they were doing from player acquisition was with a 5-year lens trying to avoid the tax, and then sign KD/Russ with cap space. Most players don't feel bad for rich owners that are running up against the cap. Nor should they. I think there was a lack of acquiring some more veterans to help in the playoffs.

As someone who loves Seattle and the Sonics, there is a part of me that is kind of happy for KD because I don't like the way the owner and NBA moved their team out. Having been around when the Browns were moved, I know what that is like.

As odd as it is, I would have agreed until last nights game. Watching Curry do his thing while KD, Klay and Green and playing well is a pretty awesome sight. But it has been clunky a few times so far to where I would say I enjoyed watching last years team more.
