as a steelers fan, i'm so excited for martavis bryant to be coming back and have high hopes for what he'll do.

if i were you playing in that dynasty league, i'd be trying to get allen robinson or jarvis landry instead.

 

Haha most likely. What sucks for me (maybe) is that I had and held on to martavis all year last year until I had to drop him in the playoffs for a quality starter at the time.

 

That's a good point. He won't trade Robinson but he probably would trade Landry. It's non PPR so he isn't as valuable. Maybe I just need to try to improve my TE situation and I'm fine at WR?

I also think Martavis is going to have a huge year. Guy is a beast and is the #2 now

 

Being out of football for a year when you were already raw and needed some work probably isn't great going in by who knows

 

Fanduel and DraftKings will no longer be merging after they announced they were going to like 8 months ago

If you had a choice between picking 9th and 11th, where would you go? Defending champ will get whichever slot I don't take

 

I should keep Davante Adams in the 10th, right? In a 2-keeper non PPR league, also keeping Matt Ryan in the 14th.

 

I'd probably go 9 in hopes someone like AJ Green or Zeke might fall to me, but ultimately I think it's kind of a wash. Assuming it's a 12 man, at least.

 

Yes it's 12 man. I'm not too worried about it, this is the 4th year of the league and I've dominated the regular season every year and finished in 2nd place all 3 times. Bad luck there. But I feel like I can draft well from any slot because some of the people in the league are absolutely awful at drafting

 

Even if he is suspended 1 or 2 games, there is no reason Zeke should fall to pick 9.

 

I drafted David Johnson at #11 in my league last year. It remains absolutely perplexing to this day. Rodgers, Gurley, Newton, Adrian Peterson and Gronk all went ahead of my pick. Like I said, some people in my league are bad at drafting and I enjoy their donation to my cause

 

David Johnson is a little different. I could be wrong, I honestly don't know, but I don't think he was highly touted as a top 5 pick last year. As it stands I have Zeke 4 behind DJ, Bell, and AB, and that is even with suspension. But you definitely lucked out getting DJ that late, well done.

 

I'm still super back and forth on keeping J. Crowder or Jimmy Graham

 

Jordan Reed is currently seeing a foot specialist, if he is out for any amount of time, I think the target share for Crowder goes up. Regardless, I think Crowder is the guy to keep, upside of 90 catches and over 1000 yards in that offense, plus he was pretty good in the red zone last year.

 

Yeah, Crowder was my original pick but Graham keeps coming back in my mind. Crowder has the upside but a Crowder type will be available later in the draft, whereas Graham is still probably a top-5 TE (and possibly climbing with the Reed injury).

At this point I don't think either is a bad call, I just feel like Crowder has higher bust potential.

 

If I recall DJ was like the #2/3 RB last year. Always behind Bell and sometimes behind Gurley or Peterson depending on which expert you followed. But definitely not #1 overall hype. Either way I didn't expect him to be there anywhere close to #11, nor did I expect two QB in the top 10

 

You're probably right. I went over some of my drafts from last year and seen that he was only drafted in the top 5 once, but yea, 11 was a steal. And I never understood quarterbacks going that early unless it is a 2 QB league, and I still would do it.

 

I am the type that doesn't put a lot of stock into TE unless someone like Gronk falls to the end of the 2nd or early 3rd. Give me someone like Ertz and Ebron a little bit later on, I don't think the point differential is that much, especially with that position.

But yea, I can see you going either way, it's essentially a toss up.

 

I did do a super flex last year as an experiment so it was essentially a 2 QB league. Failed experiment though
