I also think if you're an owner desperate at running back this week, you could do a hell of a lot worse than Hightower if you can get your hands on him. Even if Ingram plays and plays a lot (which, there's certainly no guarantee that he does considering it looks like they hate him there) Hightower still has value with how god awful the 49ers run defense is.

 

Should I go for Hightower or Charcandrick West with my first waiver claim?

 

West. No question.

Hightower is not good. West can excel in this offense as we saw last year. Plus, Sean payton said he expects Ingram to bounce back, so I see Ingram getting more work than people seem to think.

 

West would also be the undisputed RB in the backfield if Ware has to sit out, while Hightower has Ingram (who should still be the starter in NO) to compete with, along with other guys like Cadet and Fleener who somehow make their way back there.

 

Right. Even though the Chiefs just signed Bishop Sanjay, it's just in case West were to get hurt. He might get like 2 carries this weekend.

 

Actually didn't know they signed another back, though it does make a lot of sense to. Definitely in agreeance with you though. Sankey will do little to nothing unless something goes horribly wrong

 

What are the odds Ware plays? I don't wanna waste my high wavier priority on CharChar if he doesn't play. Are Antone Smith or Rashad Jennings more valuable?

This is all keeping in mind that I'm preparing for a worst-case scenario when Rawls comes back and CMike goes away.

How big of a stink should I make about this? I'm in a league with some school friends, many of whom don't watch football and have never done fantasy before, it's low stakes and I'm doing well in the league, but last week someone traded Gronk for Cobb straight up and today they're trading back and I don't want to allow this kind of precedent to go uncontested.

 

hoping that Ben plays this week because my other option is Carr against Denver and I really don't want to do that

 

I'm not sure if a hobbled Ben in Baltimore is gonna do much better haha

Also I'm keeping Gostkowski maybe. Picked up Will Lutz, but someone dropped Dan Bailey so if he's still available after he clears waivers, I'm gonna pick him up and (maybe) drop Gostkowski

 

With Johnson on a bye and McCoy and Ware injured, I only have Gordon this week at RB and need another back. I'm in first place, so of course I wasn't able to get West. Only backs out there worth mentioning are Henry, Powell, Asiata, and Hightower. Should I go with Hightower?

 

ya, I probably would. SF's run D is horrendous so even if they split, he should get a decent amount of touches

unless for some reason Murray can't play, then I'd play Henry.

 

I'd drop him probably. He's missing XPs and if you can find another top 10 K on waivers, you should be fine there.

 

I gotta figure out a defense to stream with Arizona on a bye. Should I go...
