No problem. I thought it'd be a fun thing to do.

So who misses the playoffs, Red Wings, Flyers, or Bruins (pending an epic collapse from one of the other 5 teams that haven't clinched)

Red Wings imo, they've been so bad to watch recently and weren't that great in the first place

I'd say Bruins has the worst match ups so I'm saying them.

As an Islander fan I'm praying for a Rangers first round match-up. Doesn't look likely thanks to the Pens. I don't want Tampa or Washington at all.

    Fun must be always. Prestigious

Sharks sign Danny O'Regan to a two year ELC. I'm pretty stoked on them getting him signed. I honestly see him as a solid depth player in a few years.

Barracudas are looking solid next year despite the fact that they have Sommer as the coach.

Bunch of injury updates for the Ducks.

Andersen got a concussion last game and could be out a couple weeks. Honestly better for the team because Boudreau won't have to swap goalies between playoff games.

Perron has two-four weeks left on a separated shoulder injury. Need him for the playoffs because he has been excellent.

Rakell with an appendicitis (a week). The second one on the team this season, but I'm glad this comes before the playoffs.

As much as the Bruins (front office, not players) deserve to miss, if they do, Claude is out the door, which is a damn shame because this mess of a roster is 1000% on Cam Neely and Chia. Don Sweeney hasn't done too much to help either.

It's hard figuring out who's who now. I was foreverinaday/Leafs fan, sadly.

    Canada rules.

Canada comes up empty in NHL playoff race

It is only the second time it has happened in NHL history. The last was in 1970, when the Toronto Maple Leafs finished sixth and last in their division and the Canadiens ended up fifth, losing the final playoff spot to the New York Rangers on a tiebreaker — total goals scored — on the final day of the regular season.

He'll find another job somewhere fairly quickly, I would think. Plenty of teams will be looking to reconstruct their coaching staff before next year.

Duncan Keith suspended SIX games. Will miss Game 1 of playoffs. #Blackhawks.

Welp this is better than the 7 or 8 I was expecting. Game 1 is gonna be awful ala David Rundblad taking his spot in Game 4 in the LA series in 2013.

Six games for Keith. Missing a playoff game.

But it's the Chicago Blackhawks which means the NHL has to protect them because they are Cup favorites. The league is so corrupt.

I'm okay with it. Keith's slash on Carter in 2013 was a little worse, and that got him one play game. 6 games seems fair, and I loathe the Hawks.

The Hawks get to rest their #1D for the rest of the season. They'll miss him in that first playoff game but he needed to miss more. It's an impactless suspension.

Fuck the decision so much. Keith deserved more for that. Ugh I hate that team so much.

Kane got the A over Hammer tonight with Keith and Hossa out. That is trash

    Of course it's only 6.

If I was approaching this purely objectively, then six seems fair. Six games was what I figured before because he deserved seven or eight and the league assumes 1 postseason game = 2 regular season games. What would be great is if that one playoff game had to be in a game 4-7. Game one of the postseason is meaningless.
