His progression as a pro has been a nice ski slope upward. And tonight he is filling Heyward's scoring role fine. He reminds me of Allan Houston in terms of play style and being sneaky athletic. He just feels like a mid '90s player. Really like his game.

  2. He really does. Has a but of an old man game, but he has virtually every aspect to the game. Jazz fans got themselves a steal with that one. The game never seems too much for him, he always just seems like he's going at his pace.

Agreed. He is one of those guys that just knows how to get his shot, especially after his first move is taken away.

  4. I hate that T call. When it's a walking away move ... and you see that arm throw move (let alone walking away) made countless times a game.

I don't think Smith gets much slack ever and I accepted it the moment he was acquired.

  7. I just wish it was consistent. It bugs me when refs try and insert themselves into the game that much.

Agreed. Not sure how the NBA teaches it, but when I took the class, they told us the best reffed games are the ones where no one notices you're out there.

That might be the closest we get to a three pointer that resembles a volleyball set.

Gotta give Utah credit. They are more engaged than the Cavs tonight.

  13. Lots of tired legs it looks like. Kyrie having a really bad shooting night, JR just flat out off. Utah taking advantage of the b2b and running them hard. I can't tell of Snyder is a sneaky good coach or where he really ranks.

Frye definitely getting booted, but what a punk move by Lyles. No room for that in any sport.

  15. Got hit in the balls. :cringe:

Agreed on all accounts. I tend to lean towards Snyder being a good coach. He has put the time in at the college level, assistant in the NBA, and the D-League.

  17. God the announcer is annoying.

  18. Both gone. Flag 2 for Lyles, second T for Frye. Gone.

I can't disagree with that, but why is Kahn shooting the free throws. Is he subbing for Frye?

  20. I think so. Snyder gets to pick I think.

Which one? I have the local Cavs announcers.

  22. I have the ESPN announcers. I don't even know who it is tonight cause I have to keep muting them.

See, this is a nuance of the NBA I am not up to date on. In high and school and college, technical free throws are administered by the shooting team picking one of their five to shoot.
