The NBA explicitly says two full steps after picking up your dribble, which most people forget about. This was still a travel, but the look of a travel is completely different with that extra full step included. Anyone that wants to see the best no call should lookup Kendrick Perkins last year. Dude took 8 steps and didn't get called hahaha.

I would LOVE to see him get 6th man votes. Same for Marcus Smart. Two guys who don't seem to have any ego about being sparkplugs off the bench.

Lakers-Cavs is off to a fun start. Lots of cool matchups and the last Kobe-LeBron duel.

  6. Just turned it on as well. I missed the first part, did they say why Love wasn't playing?

The beat reporters said sprained knee. Not sure if it's legit or a scheduled rest day.

  8. Ah, gotcha, thanks!

I've disliked him intensely ever since he dragged Kelly Olynyk publicly last year. I get being frustrated about being hurt but he was just ridiculous

I'm guessing it's an injury sustained during the Banana Republic shoot he did.

Cavs have the worst local commentators. Along with Austin Carr's catch phrases that are pretty bad, they are trying to make "deep Fryed" a thing for made threes...

J.R. Smith, mustache-twirling cartoon villain, almost royally fucked up that alley oop

And Lebron put it in anyway, with the left hand, good god.

  16. I love how badly these TNT guys want Kobe to be good though. It's funny.

The narrative around Kobe right now bums me out. For a guy at this stage of his career with all he's accomplished, to be any kind of contributor at all is something. He's the #3 scorer in the history of the game. Screw the Internet for making him a punchline

Haha I may have to switch to that for second half. That sounds better than what I currently am working with. I just go to FSN Ohio out of habit.

I feel like it's becoming more common in sports lately and it's been a huge turn-off to me wanting to follow them closely.

I don't want to think it had to do with a more empirical, less sentimental view in sports, but the timing seems convenient.

Not saying carry dead weight on teams for sheer nostalgia, but I feel like I just keep talking to people (irl, online, wherever) who ridicule legends in their inevitable decline and show zero fondness or appreciation for what they gave their city or the sport.

At his age and the miles he has put on his body, the fact he can even play this many minutes and contribute is impressive. Then, throw in knee and achilles injuries late in his career back to back. Pretty remarkable imo.
