Wild how Anarchy, My Dear seems better looking back. A cohesive album with production that doesn't hurt your ears is not a thing that band does anymore.

 

it's interesting, looking back this was certainly a weaker year for me because anything form like, 13 down on my list has plenty of flaws and nothing I would consider my favorite from the bands, but yes you are correct about Anarchy. Totally in retrospect it is a better entry to their discography. I used to listen to a playlist with the best half of Anarchy and the best half of Self-titled and it was pretty great

 

I revisited Anarchy and I think I like it even less now than in 2012. Hebrews and Oliver are way better imo.

 

Was the tie broken?

 

I think so.

 

Kendrick Lamar's Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City wins with 36. Menzinger's On the Impossible Past had 32 and Taylor Swift's Red had 28.

 

Kind of surprised Red didn't pick up more points.

 

It's a good week for Kendrick to win
