i remember liking them but them being similar to another much bigger band that seems more beloved (Frightened Rabbit) so it's a bit strange to me to see them on here but FR not, but cool!

Aside from being Scottish, they're not particularly similar to Frightened Rabbit musically - There Will Be Fireworks have a much more post-rock or shoegaze edge, with River in particular being much more loud and aggressive than Frightened Rabbit. Once everyone hears this song, no doubt River will sweep the site-wide polls. Definitely. There Will be Fireworks are pretty similar to a band called Friends in America though, who are deserving of a bigger audience.
fwiw TWBB wasn't the one(s) that stood out to me as wonky haha, i like what i've heard and it's cool a band most people don't know made it
Robyn, Jason Isbell and Andrew McMahon are the only ones on there I don't personally love but I know a lot of people do so they make sense.
yeah i mean robyn being included seems pretty obvious even if she isn't my favorite. also that's thee jason song even if it's not my favorite. moving mountains - a band i like a lot - being included seems odd, a solo andrew song, and that 1975 song all seem weird. but it's cool, not a big deal
