Going to forego the big writeup this week (and probably going forward) because it takes a lot of time and my thoughts on 2010s music are pretty heavily documented from here on out. 1. Titus Andronicus - The Monitor 2. Los Campesinos! - Romance Is Boring 3. The Tallest Man on Earth - The Wild Hunt The Monitor is a fucking colossal record. Other 2 are p sweet as well.
Gold Panda - Lucky Shiner Mike Patton - Mondo Cane Deftones - Diamond Eyes Lucky Shiner is such a warm record with so many cool sounds and eclectic samples, but still a real simplicity, almost naivety, to it. I believe it was made over the course of a couple of weeks which certainly makes sense, in the best way possible. A great journey from beginning to end, endlessly listenable. Mike Patton doing covers of Italian orchestral pop songs from the 50s and 60s is as good as it should be. I think Mondo Cane might be the best thing he's made in the last fifteen years or so. It's a joy. I once read someone describe Diamond Eyes as "Sexy Meshuggah" and I can't really top that. Honourable Mentions: letlive - Fake History White Ring - Black Earth That Made Me (EP) Agent Fresco - A Long Time Listening Admiral Angry - A Fire To Burn Down The World (EP) Brian Eno - Small Craft On A Milk Sea John Roberts - Glass Eights

Marina & the Diamonds - The Family Jewels This year was the end of middle school / beginning of high school for me, and the first year where I actively listened to albums front-to-back (thanks to Congratulations)
Going back to the Jonsi album, I forgot how damn good this thing is. Up there with anything Sigur Ros has done. So fucking catchy.
Couple of creepy songs from 2010 The intimate, manipulated vocals on this are awesome And this track hits upon one of my favourite things in music - melodies that sound like they belong to a different song but still somehow work
Worth noting that we still have not had a hip-hop winner. I'm sure it will come with little surprise but some frustration to the hip-hop heads that Kanye will (likely) be the first one.

I completely missed this album when I originally made my list but thankfully it was mentioned here so I was able to include it. I go back and forth between this and You’re Dead! as their best but I’d probably give Cosmogramma the edge, just a fantastic mostly instrumental mind warping album all around.
I havent refreshed my memory on what else came out those years, but I'd imagine that Kendrick's 3 studio albums could be in the running for their years.
List edited to include MCR and MTB. Also I had the WRONG record from Ida Maria in there, was thinking of her 2008.
Yeah I’ve found that it’s an unpopular opinion on this site. Oh well. I just never enjoyed much of it outside of a few songs. Always surprised me the love it got.
