Wasn't sure what thread to put this in but 500 Days of Summer has been playing on HBO and I forgot how much I really liked it. Movie legit came out at just about the perfect time in my life, as I was just about over my ex, had met the girl that would eventually become my wife, but still was carrying around a lot of that "I still don't get what happened" feeling. And that movie really nails things from all angles. Like yeah she kinda wrecked him and moved on really quick and that kind of sucks but at the same time he was idolizing and unfairly putting her on a pedestal and not listening to the things she was flatly saying to him and etc. I know a lot of people at the time came away thinkng man summer is a bitch and poor tom! but it really does kind of show the truth behind relationships that go south and the aftermath, including that no one is fully to blame and people handle it badly and etc.
