Hey all these movies gonna be 20 years old

 

My favorite of this year is Letters From Iwo Jima. Might be my favorite film Eastwood has ever done.

Also Thank You For Smoking is really underrated

 

Thank You for Smoking is overrated if anything. Smug and gross.

 

I dunno I liked it when I was 17, maybe I should give it another watch.

Children of Men is good

 

The shot following Theo and Kee as they descend with the baby crying is so beautiful. For a moment there is something that transcends everything else.

 

the junky dialogue writing brings the whole movie down

 

I’m not putting it anywhere near my top 10 of the decade but I enjoyed watching it

 

My list was correct. Arguing it is like yelling at the Sun not to set.

Children of Men still my favorite for this year.

My recent rewatch of Miami Vice (first time since theaters when my teenage brain fully rejected it) shot that one up to near the top of my list.
