I honestly don't think they will have any more wins. Votes for every album, for sure, but I think their winning days are over

 

Yeah, I’d be pretty surprised if they won any other years. And the three years they won were always going to be theirs, as a wise person told you all weeks ago.

That three album run is pretty great. I don't have any qualms about any of them winning.

What the hell, I'll throw some predictions out there.

'05: Everything in Transit
'06: The Black Parade
'07: Boxer
'08: The '59 Sound
'09: Mean Everything to Nothing
'10: MBDTF

'06 is a bit of a wild card year, since the winner would have been TDAG, but...hopefully that doesn't happen. Based on the strong performance MCR had for '04, The Black Parade seems like a good bet. '07 could easily be In Rainbows, but it seems like there's a big National contingent on this site. Feel pretty confident about the others.

i mean, of course it is. most of my choices don’t win and, in many years, i never expect them to be close. it’s more just continual surprise, and surprise that’s been happening for like a decade now, that this seems to be the only site that thinks about jimmy world in that kind of way on, like, all of the internet hahaha

 

like, by this standard so far, jimmy eat world is the second most consistent band ever next to the beatles. which, like, is patently absurd lol

 

Ha, that's not really my takeaway, though. We're talking about the favorite albums of a small group of people on a website that was built to cover a very niche music scene. I don't think the takeaway needs to be anything more than "Wow, people on this site really love Jimmy Eat World."

Subjectivity and community sway are part of what makes this fun, but damn are we on a rough stretch right now. Clarity is soooooooooooo much better than the other two

2005 is insane, Kanye or Suf perhaps?
