I remember hearing The Decemberists back in like 2011 or something and hated them so much I never listened to them again but I checked out Castaways and Cutouts this morning and really liked it.
The King Is Dead is fantastic front to back and their other albums are all pretty solid. Great band,.
Checking out this Against Me! album and "Pints of Guinness Make You Strong" is a fucking great opener.

Steve, every week you have a few on your list (usually pop leaning) that I totally forgot about! This week it's Jason Mraz - really enjoyable debut album.
He's definitely underrated as an amazing artist because his singles and second half of his career is soooo cheeseball, but the album cuts are truly great. His second album, Mr. A-Z has some truly phenomenal songs on it, will be high on my list that year
YES I love this album, I found them originally because of Alien Ant Farm (the singers are cousins? i think...) and I remember being shocked that they never got famous but AAF did. I used to play the album to death
This list is going to keep changing as we go along: Jason Mraz - Waiting for my Rocket DMB - Busted Stuff John Mayer - Room For Squares The All American Rejects - ST Box Car Racer - ST
That TBS album absolutely took over my life between 2002-2005, and I've probably listened to it 1,000 times. But it just didnt age that well IMO. I can't say I've intentionally listened to it in the last 10 years. Whereas I've never burnt out on The Starting Line, Box Car, The Used or NFG records that came out that year.
I don't like much pop punk but there was some good stuff in 2002. Although I don't think I've ever actually listened to that The Starting Line album, despite thinking The Best Of Me is great.
Timberwolves At New Jersey is an all-timer. You’re So Last Summer is great too. The rest I can take it or leave it though.
