I hate that I still like “Blurry”. Because “She Fucking Hates Me” is my least favorite song of all time
Slightly off topic, but I’m guessing we’ve all seen that cover of All Apologies, right? A work of art.
Truly one of the least talented bands of all time. I'm convinced their producer must have written the beautiful delayed harmonics that make "Blurry" so good. Not sure there's ever been a worse vocal delivery than his "I like the way you smaaaaaack my aaaaaaaaaaass" on "Control" and that shit was just perpetually on the radio.
Aw man I forgot about that song. I knew there was a song that they got popular on before Blurry but I couldn’t remember it for the life of me.
1. Weezer - Green 2. AWK - I Get Wet 3. Sum 41 - All Killer No Filler I dunno if green is the best weezer album, but it’s my favorite. Those songs and the SS2K songs are what got me into writing songs and messing around with song structures blah blah blah i love it
long overdue for a green deluxe with a finished ss2k as one of the discs. Not sure ss2k was 100% better, but it was definitely a solid group of songs and I prefer it’s outright pop punk energy to how sterile the album is.
Just checking out the Aaliyah self-titled album. Really good. Lots of cool beats and I was surprised by the level of restraint; makes it more subtle and absorbing, and stops it veering too far into more straight ahead pop territory. I think I might be listening to this album quite a lot.
total blowout. bleed american wins with 48 points. is this it had 19 and yankee hotel foxtrot had 18. I'm mad at every one of you.
if you think pitchfork is the only site where a wilco record would top a jimmy eat world one, idk what to tell you steve lol
Wow that’s crazy. YHF is a legitimate best album of all time contender, I thought it was as much of a lock as could exist in this exercise. Bleed American is definitely good, but the three non middle singles blow the rest of the album out of the water.
Are you guys really surprised that an in-their-prime album from what is arguably this site’s most beloved band won the poll?
Would you believe me if I told you that none of those three songs land in my Bleed American top five?
