I've told people that countless times when they come in for therapy -Dr. Mr. Serotonin, R.S., Esquire
I got bored and browsed the relationship advice subreddit but it's so boring like literally the advice for all of them needs to be BREAK UP.
That's usually the best relationship advice. If you're coming to me to talk about it, you already know the answer haha.
it’s just naturally enjoyable being single the only time I hate it is when I’m at theme parks or stuff like that but that’s rare
It's more so just neutral to me. it's not a positive or negative thing for me haha. i've never really been like "man, i'm glad i'm single" haha
I'm glad I'm single when I see couples arguing over petty stuff or being controlling or something. The closer I get to 30 the more ppl comment on me being single but I'm truly ok with it rn. I genuinely enjoy doing things alone. If I met someone I liked then sure, but idk sometimes relationships can feel so forced for the sake of not being alone.
Is that 2 couples that you’re friends with or 4 separate friends that just happened to get engaged this weekend? That’s a lot of upcoming weddings. OR did 4 people get engaged to each other
Feels pretty weird being seen as an outlier in my town for not being married at the ancient age of 23.
I went to a Christian high school and most of em got engaged or married within like three years after graduation. Just blows my mind
People think I’m making some sort of statement but besides prioritizing getting my finances in order not really lol
I was talking with my man about marriage as an end goal of dating yesterday and we both agreed it's something we see value in. He also mentioned he'd consider adopting kids in his later years which has been a desire of mine. I'm planning to make mead with him this Fall under the pretense that we're making it "to give as a gift to our friends and family". It's a clever lie because my intent is that we serve it to our friends and family at our wedding ceremony a couple years down the road.
Like, I can sorta understand why religious kids might get married young but I genuinely cannot comprehend why those who aren’t religious choose to do so. There’s seriously no reason to rush. I dunno, maybe I’m just a hater
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to get married at some point but I need to meet someone first and I’m not currently living in an area I want to stay in. Need to move, save, and meet someone first haha.
