i remember reading something awhile back that said:

women prefer pictures of men who are smiling but not showing their teeth while men prefer pictures of women smiling while showing their teeth vs not

and more men get likes / messages if their profile contains pictures of: them doing something outside, at least one picture with an animal (preferably a dog) and one picture showing a group activity thus showing they have a life
