there is a new girl in my department who I find fairly attractive. I wanted to wait like two weeks before I introduce myself because introducing right away seems gross. It’s been like a week and our first introduction was tonight and it was me being a dumbass.

Her locker is like a few lockers down from me and she was hearing me struggle to open my locker. I couldn’t get it open so she tried to open it and she also failed. I spent another 5 minutes trying to open it and she watched and I finally did it. I was embarrassed because that’s the worst way to introduce myself.

 

Why is introducing yourself to a new coworker right away gross?

 

Yeah if anything, it seems rude to NOT introduce yourself. Then you're kinda just pretending like you she doesn't exist until an arbitrary time that you selected
