Actually yeah I take my post back. "Daft Punk is Playing at My House" was on some comp that I had and it sucks, so it caused me to not want to listen to LCD Soundsystem for a long time
I need to still read Meet Me in the Bathroom, but outside of a select few of that crew of coked up NYC 00s bands, I was never really in love with them. The Strokes are good. Interpol is my favorite
Interpol rules and I say that with really only listen in to their first album. I didn’t bother to listen to any of the other ones
A fellow New America fan! I love that album for the autobiographical lyrics. A Streetkid Named Desire is such a fun song.
Even not being super into a lot of those bands, I enjoyed the book. It's a really impressive piece of oral-history reporting, if nothing else. I'm actually shocked by this. Haha
Someone Great is by far the best LCD song, which says a lot in a world where All My Friends exists. I like most of their songs though, they range from fun at worst (for the most part) to legitimately amazing. Daft Punk is Playing at My House is good imo. I feel like JM came off kind of shitty in the book but I forget, legitimately almost everyone did haha.
For the longest time I thought Interpol was from Liverpool or something. Granted I never consciously listened to them, just seemed like the name of a band from Liverpool.
Can I just have The Fragile at all 3 spots??? If not then my top 3 will go like this: 1. Nine Inch Nails- The Fragile 2. Rage Against the Machine- Battle of LA 3. Slipknot- Slipknot
