    Weezer's Pinkerton won 1996. Let's see who wins 1997. Top-heavy year.

Boyz II Men - 4 Seasons of Loneliness
Elton John - Something About the Way You Look Tonight

What are your top three albums for 1997? We will keep a running tally and eventually have some sort of bracket. For me it would be:
    1. Radiohead - OK Computer
    2. Spiritualized - Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space
    3. Foo Fighters - The Colour and the Shape

What are some of the forgotten gems from the year? What is overrated? What did you discover at a young age and what did you discover later?

This is one of those years where I might have to go with subjective "favorite" over the more logical "best" album of the year.

Hahaha, I mean I DO - but it's just particularly funny this year .... i would have a really hard time convincing just about ANYONE that my #1 this year is "better" than OK Computer.

But again yeah the beauty of music being subjective!!

This year though for real..... I feel like I've been saying this for 4-5 weeks now but fuck it's good. Now that I'm looking through these, I COULD make an argument for easily 6-7 different albums being my fave of the year. Oh, formative years.
