Whew....this was...insanely hard. I think the top 3 are probably gun to my head "These are my favorite 3 songs from the 90s"....the rest are just songs I like that came to mind first tbh. There's sooooo many I've left off here, we could just go to that 90's music thread and rehash them all. But these are the ones I tend to listen to the most (or at least used to prepandemic...when we'd go to bars, Semi Charmed Life is still a cover band staple for examle)....and again tried to keep it one per band. Hard to leave off Don't Look Back in Anger, or Good Riddance, or The Unforgiven, or a few other Sublime songs, Or Dreams/Linger, etc.....No matchbox 20 on my list feels dumb. No SOAD or Alkaline Trio, two of my favorite bands, but whose best stuff is yet to come. No Nirvana/Soundgarden/Pearl Jam/etc feels sacreligious as well....Etc etc....just impossible choices here guys. I actually think the 2000s will be easier for me because I do have straight up favorites as we all do from our time as teenagers, whereas being a child of the 90s i'm not as attached to as many songs as favorites moreso than I grew up with hearing these all the time and love them all and etc. But yeah those top 3 are staples to me.

 

“Black Balloon” and “Slide” both are some of my favorite songs ever. But definitely went with the “make sure Iris is in the list” vote.

 

I don't like any of their song enough to ever put them in my list, but if I had to have one make it, I'd prefer it be Black Balloon haha..mostly because an ex put it on a mix CD for me

 

Yeah, I mean, I adore "Iris," but it's probably my third or fourth favorite on the record. Those two you mentioned are definitely 1 and 2.
