    Love the Prince shout out. If you haven't heard "Bambi" from the same album, it's one of his best guitar riffs.

    It really gets the short straw in the assessment of his catalog. He basically perfected that whole late-'70s, early-'80s frizzy pop-funk style and then had to ask "So what's next?" But working within those genre confines, basically every damn song is a killer. "I Wanna Be Your Lover" is about as perfect as it gets.

    Listened to The Motels's debut after hearing "Total Control" in Something Wild. Definitely the standout track on the album but there's some good stuff in there. There's also "Porn Reggae". I might run through their 80s albums now

    That's it! My dad's band used to do "Only the Lonely" and "Mission of Mercy" in their set so I've loved those songs since I was a little kid.
